And they wasted a 1st round pick. It was a waste at the time and it is a waste now. Still doesn't mean drafting EJ Manuel in the 1st was the right thing to do regardless of the depth. It was a terrible a pick and it occurred because the team was mismanaged for years. Their hit rate beyond the 2nd round is dramatically lower than other positions. Scouts aren't good at identifying the good ones, but are seemingly very good at identifying the bad ones. We simply do not have the receiver talent today to make it happen... This team needs to play with the lead. Even fully healthy, we aren't winning today, but the injuries are terrible this year. That's job 1 in the offseason as well as a new GM.Whaley can stay as an asst GM but he certainly is not good enough at big picture stuff.
