He may not be great but this Myers makes the team a completely different team, and I think from the time Nolan came on until he got hurt, he was pretty much the good Myers. he looks very good this preseason. Â 2] Not having 4-5 guys per game who dont really belong in the league like last year is a monster difference. Â 3] Average or even legitimate bottom 2 defensemen are 10x better than crappy defensemen. Â 4] Guys like Gionta who score 10 goals are 2-3 times the player that average Sabres over the last couple decades that score 10 goals. Â 5] The Chris Stewart that tries is a damn good player. Â 6] Grigs looks like he may actually help. Â 7] Having only the 4th line made up of 4th line players instead of 4 lines with 4th line players sprinkled throughout is a huge difference. Who the hell dresses Brad May and I think May stayed in the tanning booth a little too long. Other than that, the Sabres look pretty good. I don't see McDavid or Eichel being a Sabre next year. Stewart ripped him apart and has looked very good all around this game.... The sabres look like a team poised to strike at any moment this game, wish it was regular season. Still it's pretty surprising to see passes going to sticks, and guys helping each other out, and shooters shooting and getting rebounds, and, you know, stuff you learn in pee wee that we haven't seen much of.
