Beer league beer ad

Article and link about Bud Canada ad where they created a flash mob for a beer league game.

This must have been quite special for the guys playing the game.

The only thing that could have made it better would have been if this was done by Labatt Blue instead. :)

I'm not sure if it is still the same but do Canadians still prefer Bud to Labatt & Molson. I found it to be a weird phenomenon about 20 years ago.

I know when I go to Montreal every summer to visit friends all they drink is Bud Light. Real weird.

Not weird. Bud is the most popular beer in the world. They drink more of it in the UK than their own brands too.

I'm not sure of that one. The only people I saw drinking Bud when I was over there were two guys in 'Surrey Knights' motorcycle jackets (and they got into a van when they left the pub, not onto bikes). Everyone else seemed to drink Stella, Guinness, or whatever ales the pub had on pump.

In Ireland, for example, Budweiser claimed market share of about 13% by volume in 2006, according to market-research firm Euromonitor International.

That is higher than Bud's US market share of 12%.

The scorekeeper for our beer league games started playing his iPod between faceoffs. Kinda cool. We play at a double rink where a local high school game might be going on the other rink. Some games pack the house and we can hear the cheers, the music, and the goal horn.

PTR

That all depends on what's on the ipod.

Thanks for the link, I would have never guessed.

This doesn't suprise me. English beer is meh.

I agree with you based on most of what we get here. The stuff over there is better, as long as you like ales. I was talking with someone over there about how beer companies export the stuff they wouldn't sell at home. The only American beers I saw over there were Bud and Rolling Rock (of all things). Based on that, American beer is pretty awful.
