Weave Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Share Posted November 25, 2012 Thanksgiving part deaux Made a casserole out of leftovers. Heated up a cast iron frying pan over medium heat. Put a layer of stuffing on the bottom and let it cook until the bottom got brown and crispy. Added a layer of turkey mixed together with the leftover gravy. Topped that layer with the chipotle rubbed cubed squash, and topped that off with mashed potatoes, sheppard's pie-style. I swear it made the best waffles. Turns out Black and Decker makes a version of it but it doesn't seem to have the same build quality based on reviews. Love it, but it causes almost immediate unconsciousness. Jo made me a carrot cake for my last birthday. It was the best I've ever had. Carrot cake is so underrated as a desert. Tonight I'm making my favorite beef stew. One of the features is the cooking of the meat in 2 cups of strong coffee for about an hour and a half. I decided to try a more fancy coffee tonight and selected Peets' French roast. Let me tell you, just the coffee and meat in the pan smelled phenomenal, which is not the norm with plain old Folgers.
