He is playing soo bad. And that's why we need him the most. He's driving this tank all over the league.

I look long and hard at the draft picks to see if next year's draft is so good that I should give Buffalo a top four pick this year instead of a top eight pick next year. And then I lick a window because I'm a backup goalie, and I don't have the proper organ to make those kinds of decisions.

Saw that last night on a replay at the bar. Nearly spit my beer out. I respect Nashville as a fanbase. It's them against the world, and they're holding their own. It's refreshing, as Atlanta, Florida fanbases, et al, never impressed me.

Yes, the quote adds to the irony. But, for fun, I'll counterpoint with another Pattonism. "I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs, but how high he bounces when he hits bottom." Time to hit bottom. Haha, he'll prevent countless draft picks from being prematurely labeled busts. He's a hero.

Moulson likely out until after the Olympic Break with a UBI
IKnowPhysics replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Aud Club
Report is that "he's out until after the Olympic break," but that need not mean he's out for 3.5+ weeks, it could mean that he's only out until at least the the Sabres' last game before the break, which is only seven days away. -
One of them must be better than the other. I want that one.

Moulson should drink some cranberry juice. Wait. -
Makes sense.

I haven't been contributing to this thread as I much as I should be. If I wanted to get a great bottle for someone I knew really enjoyed scotch, I'd get them a bottle of Lagavulin 16. That's ballpark $80. It's a very very good scotch-drinker's scotch, and easily one of the best I've had. And then there's this review on Amazon: It's been sold out near me for months.

I like to think that the coaching change has changed the outlook for our record, so averaging over the whole season could be a little too hopeful (in bizarro Tank Universe). The Sabres are on pace at 0.83 ppg in January. Edmonton is at 0.64 ppg and Calgary is at 0.85 ppg in January. NYI has played alright, at 1.13 ppg. Projecting the January paces over the rest of the season: NYI 80 points Calgary 70 points Buffalo 61 points Edmonton 59 points I won't stand by those numbers as a real expectation, but I do expect it's gonna be close. So, uh, go Oilers. -

Gentlemen (and like three ladies), Edmonton and Calgary have each gone on 3 game winning streaks. But now is no time to let up. REMEMBER 73 EASTING! ONWARD! -
Sabres All-Time Whipping Boys vs. 2013-2014 Sabres
IKnowPhysics replied to PASabreFan's topic in Archive
Most of the good ones mentioned so far. Connolly, Hecht, Stafford, Wilson Some of the above weren't really whipping boys and were ok (ie Smehlik). Some just sucked and didn't get the brunt of the whip (ie Fitzpatrick). Some weren't around long enough to really get pissed on (ie, Kozlov). Not yet mentioned: Andrei Trefilov, Brad Boyes, Maxim Afinogenov (only sometimes), Erik Rasmussen -
ALL PROSPECTS REPORT TO BUFFALO TO BE SCOUTED. WE HAVE ALL OF THE SCOUTS. WE HAVE ALL OF THE DRAFT PICKS.

I think it's important to note the point the article makes. NYC has the the fewest ice rinks per person than maybe any part of the country (except maybe Hawaii, I'm not going to do the math).

###### bias at it's best. -
I'm hoping that's what that three lane driveway is there: massive underground parking ramp that goes 10 stories down below the water table.

In other news, holy ###### ######: http://www.nhl.com/i...id=nhl:topheads NINE rinks in the Kingsbridge National Ice Center to be built in the Bronx.

That'd be insanity. Playoff-cusp teams would start crazy bidding wars for non-playoff team points, especially now that salary is involved in trades. It'd be a game of who can give the most players and picks away without damaging their team as much to not win in the playoffs. Teams with dumb GMs would be flaming trainwrecks, having traded all of their assets away because they got close one year.
