  1. Defeat! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvQ4RH-UNMw Bonus: Carolina fans are pissed that they lost, not just because it was us, but also because we're dead last.
  2. I sincerely apologize. In no way did I mean to convey that any of us should stop doing those things. Also, let's get the BBQ sauce going in the rapey part too. Spice things up a bit.
  3. Got Godzilla-sized roids? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1LnLsMW19U
  4. They piss and moan that we're "the worst fans they've ever seen," when, in fact, they have no idea what the ###### they're talking about. So, our fans perpetuate that bogus legend in conversation, just to make them look even more stupid. We fill up that rats nest, rape their women, steal their babies, and eat them both in the parking lot. Then the raping starts again. And some more baby eating. And we wash it all down with something that doesn't rhyme with Udweiser.
  5. I'm still cautiously optimistic that this will work out. Sky hasn't fallen yet.
  6. Best players in the world in the Olympics. Period. Bill Daly:
  7. Haha, all the Scott hataz taking the opportunity because the coach tossed him out of a drill.
  8. Signing Miller to a big long contract is far from the worst move we can make here. We need *someone* to play in net, we've got plenty of cap space, and we've got plenty of other areas to improve. Trading him for peanuts would be a worse move. Letting him go UFA would be a worse move. Should we try to trade him? Hells yes. That's priority #1. Gather offers of return. If they all suck, throw a bunch of money at Miller guilt free, because at least you were able to retain an asset valuable to this organization. And don't fault Darcy for not trading him earlier. I've seen nothing that suggests the "market," the offers of return, were any better at any time previously.
  9. Instead of the NHL just taking a planned break, nations wishing to host the summer games would have to engineer, build, and pay for new hockey stadiums for a winter sport. Insanity.
  10. I suppose the only shred of sort-of news is the last line, that trading Miller is the priority over signing him. We knew TM would shop Miller around, but there were some in the organization that were saying that they would like to see Miller stay. For example, Ted Nolan in that article.
  11. Wawrow says he's gotta source inside: http://sports.yahoo....49542--nhl.html ###### is gonna go down.
  12. Maybe he'll wake up tomorrow at 6am and be fine.
  13. Nope. Unlike previous years, when they annoyingly waited until the last second to determine if they were going, the NHL's going to meet in about six months to discuss the next Olympics. Olympic hockey grows the sport, gives the league more exposure, and boosts revenues for its contracted television partner. Three of the league's favorite things. More fans, more interest, more money.
  14. Agreed. Imagine only being able to attempt to achieve the highest honor in your sport only every four years, and not meeting your own expectations. Those women played hard, and they should be proud of their accomplishments and sportsmanship.
  15. Lindy Ruff liked to go bowling, saw him a couple times over at Sheridan Lanes on afternoons when they didn't have games.
  16. For some levity: I was curious to see this, as I hadn't seen the photo before. I figured it was worthwhile, as this is an important, somber part of Sabres history. I google image searched "Tim Horton Accident Photos." There are a surprisingly enormous number of idiots that crash through the doors, windows, and walls of donut shops.
  17. BREAKING NEWS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44bT3S3Rx5I
  18. Flapping heads and beady eyes.
  19. NHL on TSN ‏@NHLonTSN 1h The Buffalo Sabres today announced that the team has terminated the contract of forward Linus Omark. #TSN #NHL
  20. I think the hockey has been isolated to NBCSN on purpose, in order to drive ratings on that network. In some fairness, there's been a lot of medal games on the primetime NBC feeds, and the medal games for hockey really, really must be on NBC. Is it fair to air preliminary round hockey instead of medal round of combination ski jump biathlon(I just invented that)? Who knows. That's pretty sweet. I know countries want to show off their modern engineering marvels in stadium technology, especially since they'll use those stadiums long term for future events, but it'd be sweet to have a throw-back winter olympics with outdoor hockey and curling like that.
  21. Because they want the cord-cutters to be SOL.
  22. As long as the Olympics are on...the Sabres aren't winning games! TANK ON!
