Agree. I would hate to lose him for nothing. It would be nice if he did go to Rochester for one more year. Otherwise there may not be a goalie prospect down there. Maybe they draft a 20 year old like Milic or Suchanek who could go to Rochester right away.

Some mock drafts have him in the first round, I don’t know if he makes it to 39.

UPL and Comrie would have to clear waivers to be sent down.

If Levi becomes 1A or even a 1B goalie for the Sabres plus Kulich becoming a solid top 9 contributor that is a good deal. I know I have my rose coloured prospect glasses on but I think they win that trade. I like Sam and he still has many years ahead of him but our two prospects look good.

He’s got to look at it cold heartedly and be comfortable possibly losing UPL and Comrie via trade, waivers or buy out.

I’m amazed that Staal is still going. He’s not doing much but the occasional contribution and depth helped their run. I think a guy like Erik Haula still has a bit of game left, he would help.

Sounds good to me. If Severson went for a third then Graves could be had for a fourth. They could wait until July 1st and not have to give up anything but there is a risk of a sign and trade elsewhere. If he is the guy KA wants then a 4th rounder is a small price.

Perreault is definitely in play around 13. He is most often in the 11-18 range. His skating needs work but there is skill there in order to break Auston Matthews’ USNDTP record. The NHL parent plus knowing KA doesn’t hurt. American kid with Canadian bloodlines and HOF Sabres name would make people happy. I still want Simashev more.

A lot of them over 200 lbs already, not very common in guys that young.

Tough championship to win. 60 teams and a player is in the league for 4-5 years maximum.

Levi being Saros’ apprentice would be great for him. Two years should be enough time for Levi to improve and get ready to take the net.

I forget the source but someone said it was tougher in the playoffs being on your offhand side because of the increased intensity of the forecheck. Teams dump in to force a Dman to retrieve on his backhand and attack faster and harder. That being said, I don’t care too much, as talented guys will still find a way to move the puck up the ice. Dahlin and Mule sometimes switched sides multiple times during a shift, it wasn’t one of them stuck on his offside for 20+ minutes. I think it can lead to different opportunities in the offensive zone, different shooting angles and being closer to the middle of the ice.

Graves is still my choice for a 4D. It would be better if he was RHD but Rasmus and Mule seemed to make it seamless.

Once the talent in the pipeline is developed there may be a need to move Mitts due to cap issues, pressure from prospects or simply having trade value for something the Sabres need. His versatility (W or C, L1-3) is needed here. He also hasn’t hit his ceiling. Injuries have set him back a year in his development so he is just getting to the point where we can see what kind of player he is. If JJP, Quinn, Krebs, Kulich, Savoie, Rosen, Östlund all come close to their ceilings there will be moves to be made.

He was pretty good in the first, came out strong. Took a bad penalty and things went downhill from there. Vegas has neutralized Florida’s offense.

Trotz as GM said something that sounds like KA’s philosophy. He told his scouts to find guys with skill, who bring fans out of their seats. He said he could find them grinders any day of the week.

I’m trying to avoid dismissing Jack contributions but he is doing what he is supposed to. Point per game player. Marchesseault is a 25 goal guy scoring at a 60 goal scorer pace.
