I watched the Nashville-Calgary OT. Both goalies played the puck on pending icing calls. The announcers were surprised but it makes sense, 100% possession vs faceoff.

Good point on Phil going for the win. This needs to be instinctive for them to play hard and not go into a shell. I also feel like Kane will be gone. I don't think he gives them a hometown discount and they won't give him the term he wants.

Vegas beating Chicago 3-1 after 2 periods with their third string goalie. Never would have believed their start to the season.

Moulson and Griffith with just over 6 minutes played. Phil is seeing what many of us are. They're days are numbered with Gus and ERod getting healthy. I think ERod brings more energy than Griffith, I hope he can start scoring. ERod was also decent in the PK IIRC. Antipin getting some PP time, I still like this guy's potential once he gets acclimated.

He could come down with Lupulitis and go on LTIR. The look on his face is of pain after every shift, maybe it's because of the realization that he can't compete.

Moulson-esque, there's a new word for sucking. He may be playing like that now, but I think he still has a future here. He's built for battle (he looks like he has shoulder pads on all the time + no neck) and is younger than Matty Mo. As Pokey stated, there is a mental component as well to overcome his health issues.

Maybe Moulson's name will be on a similar list in the near future.

Maybe he'll pull a Patrick Roy trade me right f...ing now tantrum and force a move. Nah, he's not that fiery.

I believe he kept them all for the draft. I can't recall if any have been let go since then.

I think Sam has upside, Okposo may have 3 decent years left but Moulson is done. His face after a shift seems to say, "I can't do this anymore." Too slow and cannot win a battle. Hard to justify dressing him on the hope of a greasy PP goal.

Great comeback! ROR's best game of the season. He even dragged Ben-Wa to another level. McCabe was solid for most of the game. Liked Antipin, smart player. Jack showed some physicality to protect the puck and got a dirty goal. Okposo showed some life. Scandella is getting better and looks like a horse. Lehner had a bad break on Pastrnak's goal but didn't snap and made some key saves. We dominated OT. Let's keep this up!

I'll stick to this team through thick and thin, I have for 42 years, but this is tough. My expectations, like yours, were for more than this. Go Sabres! Show some signs of life FFS.

Off wing can also be tricky on the breakouts, where a lot of passes will be on your backhand. If you cut to the middle to be on your forehand you need to look out for a Scott Stevens type of hit. Your shooting angles are far superior. Like many things in life, it's finding the right balance and comfort level.

I've got every game on Centre Ice except Sabres.

Watching Leafs/Capitals on TSN, the panel (Bob McKenzie, Dave Poulin and Jeff O'Neill) chose Ovechkin, Laine and Kucherov's release over Matthews'. They are the few Toronto reporters who can be objective. Leafs all over the Caps, but scoreless first.

Last game was his best of the season. Granted, he did not register a point, but that will come. Whether he plays centre or wing, let's give him way more time. In the near future I think he can be the 2C with ROR on the wing or at 3C. ROR would still take draws.

Let's give Subban a red light special. Get a bunch of our guys off the zero train. I know Phil will probably go with the winning lineup, but I think Antipin should go in for Tennyson.

Lehner got the 1 year deal to prove his worth to JBot. He will have to play really well to get a long term deal. I think Ullmark is here next year, just not sure if he will be the backup or given a shot at #1. There may be a situation where he is competing with another guy (UFA) for the #1 job. We may have 2 potential starters vying for top spot.
