Ron apologized for harmful comments and his inaction. He says Don has been in touch. He says he debated quitting but felt that would have lumped him in with Don’s comments. I think this is a winnable game and we all need it, to temporarily put down the pitchforks. I hope Asplund makes an impact, I’ve liked him since his first WJHC. I am able to watch them play for the first time in four games, so I want to see effort. I will be watching two games at once, catching my son’s tournament game on another device. Let’s go Buffalo!

One of the things that annoys me with him and Dahlin is they seem to lack a sense of urgency. Their calmness can be an asset at times but they are too relaxed for important moments.

Yeah, I find that drop pass too predictable and dependant on the one guy. It can be one option but they need to mix it up. Even dump and chase can work if you have speed and aggressive forecheckers hounding the puck.

I’m all for it but it needs to lead to an 8-10 team European division of the NHL. Each North American team would travel to Europe once a season for a 2-3 week stint to play all of the Euro teams. Euro teams come over twice a year. Playoff system would see three teams from NA advance and the Euro champ, to have a final four. Stanley Cup becomes a Global hockey prize. Just don’t ask me to figure out the logistics.
