There’s your Dalton Smith effect.
-
It’s not his talent. It’s his effort. This roster is so poorly constructed that Lazars effort stands out. Its why we al thought wr saw more out of Erod as well.

EDIT Bogosian Requests Trade, Now EROD wants One As Well
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I'm glad you have faith in the Pegulas. This team has been a ***** show ever since they showed up. It's been one bad decision after another. Chasing the wrong high priced FA's. Deciding to lose on purpose. Hiring greenhorns to do jobs that the best GM's would be challenged by. Sticking with their connections for hiring decisions. Ugh. -
Not gonna lie. My plan is to watch long enough to see what Smith does. Further viewing is highly dependent on the actual game.
-
That's pretty much the gist of it. More viewers=more views by the ads on the page=more $$ for the content creator.

EDIT Bogosian Requests Trade, Now EROD wants One As Well

Even marginal players don't want to be here. And we used to laugh at Edmonton and Toronto..... This organization is a joke. -
I'm trying to remember the last time I heard of a team recalling a tough guy for a game. I can't recall one since about the Sabres John Scott era. I remember Toronto calling someone up for the 1st game after the Kessel incident. Can't recall one since.

We don't have an answer for Maroon, even with Smith on the ice.
-
LOOSELY. Your post was closest if he was filtering out context and nuance. Maybe that's what cheeky means.
-
Scored a goal today. Camped out in front of the net. Got player of the game honors.
-
OK, maybe I had one original thought....
-
Konopka was pure entertainment. What a nut job.
-
I was one that was saying we'll be good when he's our 13th forward, but I don't think I was alone in the thought, and I can't say I went above my abilities and had it as an original thought. And you lost me at Snuggledude. He's another one I was against the grain on. That guy so badly needed to be upgraded.

And here’s an advantage to bringing some sandpaper into a game. You think Cernak is a little distracted this morning? He sure is. For tonight anyway, I’ll take Dalton in the lineup over 7 or 8 of our other forwards.
-
It’s interesting how this place has adjusted its reactions to erod. He was the latest boy wonder for a couple of seasons here. I never understood the charm. He’s currently what he always was to my eye. Lazar is no better. Different game. Maybe we need the bigger game in the lineup. But he’s not really any more effective than erod. We definitely need better than both on the roster.

So we’ve traded Mitts for Smith with the farm team. Hey Mitts, you feeling a bit unappreciated yet? I seem to recall the gist of an interesting stat from last season. Roc’s record was way higher with Smith in the lineup than when he was out. My gut is he will have a minimal impact in Buffalo, but placate the fans for a game and the Amerks will miss him while he’s up here.
-
And an additional 5 pages when he’s sent back down on Monday.
-
Because constantly taking things out of context is directly related to you, of course. Nearly all, if not all, agree that signing Smith is not THE solution, but may begin to address one specific area of concern, so to go to the extreme in your responses, you might want to expect it to become part of the conversation.
-
Lots of implications that ONE of our problems is toughness, not THE problem is toughness. Living on the extreme all the time must be tiring.
-
Could have been a retweet he saw.
-
Definitely speaking for yourself there. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
-
Said noone. Why do we constantly go to an extreme to counter a point that was never made? I suppose you could loosely claim Ogre made that point. Maybe you should have quoted him?
-
Yup. Without big moments the little moments don't matter.
-
The worst part is, it isn't toughness per se that has been lacking. It's a genuine "I got your back" mentality that is missing. Passion for the guys around you. Infectious enthusiasm. That sort of thing. Which makes it all the more damning that we have to import those qualities from a career AHL'er.
