The travel on the last trip was odd as Edmonton/Calgary and LA/Anaheim are always back to back with a day off for a flight to Vancouver and San Jose, respectively. Or they open in Vancouver/San Jose then have a day for the flight to LA/Edmonton/Calgary and then play the back to back. What's odd to me about this year is that I believe Tuesday was their second 3 in 4/4 in 6 of the season and immediately on the heels of a western trip. That is a TON of hockey within the first 32 games and it, too is odd. Not saying it's a conspiracy by the league, just that it is odd and I can't recall such a schedule in years past. And it shows on the ice as they were skating in mud the other night. GO SABRES!!!

It's a very fair point as far as the Bills go. But Pegula's enterprise encompasses more than just that aspect of property development. Is it possible Pegula leverages other development plans? I don't know, but I wonder. The gist I've gotten is that his downtown development doesn't begin and end with Harbor Center and a new stadium.

I will remind myself to stay far away from here after Eichel plays his first truly poor NHL game; one in which he truly screws the pooch for an entire 60. We've only seen glimpses of how bad he can play. GO SABRES!!!

I've seen several comparisons between Eichel and other rookies being made since the season began and I understand why. But other than the comparisons to McDavid, I don't recall any other rookie centers in the discussion. Given the vast difference in what a 2nd line center is asked to do on a given night, I just don't think the comparisons are valid. GO SABRES!!!

I tend to agree with PA's take on refs as well. They must be above the fray. That said, I am wondering if more context is required. I don't think this ref came to a sudden moment with Neel. I suspect there is a history there, perhaps even earlier in that game, too. I also suspect Neel has been the subject of discussion among refs as well. It is a small, tight-knit community after all.
