  1. Aargh. Gorges and Fanson. Slow and slower. They are a half-step away from having to play with those training skate "walkers" I see down at Canal Side.
  2. Jack could really add to the maalia and syottoa totals with either one of those guys. GO SABRES!!!
  3. Rumor has it that RG3's explosion is gone. If he can commit to becoming a pocket QB, perhaps he can salvage his career. Not quite 26, so there's a chance. But he has to get his head in the playbook, study his ass off, and learn how to read defenses, and be patient in the pocket. I hope he does. GO BILLS!!!
  4. Fully understand the aspect of both going for the puck and things happen in hockey when big meets little and physics reigns. It is hockey, afterall. Was Byfuglien's elbow shot avoidable? Is it just a continuation of a "hockey" play? Could he have helped extending his elbow? It was a deliberate shot to the head. Period. A pu$$y play all the way around.
  5. I have no problem with big guys hitting little guys and I agree that players need to keep their heads on a swivel and be aware, but I draw a line when the big guy skates in, looks at the little guy, targets his head, and DELIBERATELY sticks his elbow out to hit it. There is a gif somewhere that shows this plain as day.
  6. You know damned well what I'm referring to. And your comparison to Weber's hit on Ehlers is not even close.
  7. Never knew Byfuglien was such a pu$$y. Lost all respect for him.
  8. I tend to agree with this as well. There is simply no better indicator than production, regardless of the caliber of the league a player competes in. If he's in a lesser league, we would want to see eye-popping domination of the competition. If he's in a better league, we'd want to see the same thing, regardless of there being an explanation for lesser production. It's a safe bet that both the Finnish league and the Swiss league are inferior to the NHL, regardless. GO SABRES!!!
  9. I apologize if I'm confusing the issue. We both know that E.O.s are part of the president's toolbox and have been since the beginning. They have also been challenged successfully in the courts over the years as well, regardless of the party make-up of Congress. It's my contention, especially given the overwhelming intractable partisan politics in today's era, that if a president issues an E.O. that truly rises to that level of constitutional doubt, it wouldn't go unchallenged. There are eager legal minds working for Senators and Congressman alike, that would like nothing more than to toss a court challenge in front of a distasteful E.O. in order to have it quashed. Likewise, there have been numerous White House counselors over the years that know their stuff as well. If anyone seriously thought that the president were actually making a law vs. adding to or clarifying an existing one, as is well within his purview, I doubt it would go unchallenged in today's climate.
  10. Not meaning to infer constitutionality with lack of challenge. That's precisely the point. There is NOTHING remotely UN-constitutional about executive orders. If there were, then ALL THREE BRANCHES are in violation of the constitution for letting it continue unchallenged. There is only the partisan bickering by whatever side is unhappy with the orders themselves. And it will be phucked up for as long as we conflate health care and health insurance.
  11. Perhaps not sucking this year and not sucking as bad as last year are different. GO SABRES!!!
  12. Much can be said about several aspects of Kanes's game that haven't been seen, like scoringand decision making, but I can't question his physical presence on the ice at all. He brings it every game and is a pain in the ass to play against more often than not. GO SABRES!!!
  13. Yep. If anyone really thought a president was legislating by fiat, Congress would be challenging it in the courts seven ways to Sunday. We impeach presidents for lying about extra-marital affairs for crissakes, does anyone really believe blatant violations of his Constitutional authority would go unchecked? It's nice fodder for the talking heads and their audiences, but there is no there, there.
  14. Shades of George Blanda. GO SABRES!!!
  15. Phuck Druin and his agent. Sorry, son, you don't get to make demands on NHL teams just because your ego won't allow you to pay some dues in the AHL first. I would stay far away from this kid with that kind of attitude. GO SABRES!!!
  16. I know you're joking, but I recall a case some time ago where a person actually did sue the person who administered his CPR.
  17. Their offense has been nothing but empty nets lately. They seem pretty good at it already. GO SABRES!!!
  18. Eichel is starting to feel his chops a little bit. Much less dump and chase when he is carrying the puck out there and it's nice to see opposing defenders having to respect his speed so much. That said, not enough pucks in the net to even begin to think we are any good at this point. GO SABRES!!!
  19. Pitiful, isn't it? His last five periods have seen him give up three goals while his team has given him zip. We are simply not very skilled offensively. GO SABRES!!! I stand corrected. Clearly, Linus is slowing us down offensively.
  20. We had our feet moving in that period. But we needed to score a couple times because I think the back to back is going to catch up to us in the second. GO SABRES!!!
  21. What's the SECOND shortest honeymoon on record? GO SABRES!!!
  22. 4th in six and the second half of a back to back after traveling home to face a good, fast team, rested and waiting. Why don't I have a warm fuzzy about tonight's outcome? Somebody talk me off the ledge. GO SABRES!!!
  23. Pretty much sums it up. We are just not ready for primetime. And the other teams have really good players, too. GO SABRES!!!
  24. I'm guessing the top is for broiling and that both can't be used at once in that oven. Although, you could get a nice browning effect by switching to broil after it's baked a bit. Hmm.
  25. So, a week off only to come back to 5 in 8 starting last night, including a 3 in 4 concluding with the Islanders in the second of a back to back on New Years Eve. I am officially charging the league with a conspiracy to punish the Sabres for the last two years. GO SABRES!!!
