  1. I'll play this one straight: Canadian Thanksgiving. Kinda curious that they'd put two American teams in it though, although maybe they're believing the line that southern Ontario bleeds Blue and Gold.
  2. No one really knows that Girgensons is going to turn out to be. His stats from last year: 70 8 14 22 -6 14 0 1 1 115 7.0 70 games, 8 goals, 14 assists. Even if you accept the "bad team" factor and *double* those numbers, that's 16-18 goals if he plays all year (by that logic, Hodgson will have 90 points on that good team, so take it with a grain of salt). I like Z/Gus, but he's not the savior of the team's scoring woes. If you filled the top 9 with guys like him, the team would score (using that questionable 16-18 goals number) 162 goals from those guys, and maybe 40 more from the D and 4th liners (2ea from the F, 6 each (!) for the D), you end up 28th goals for the season.
  3. Where are the charts?
  4. They've been sitting on the tech for years, they were afraid to put it in to practice and jeopardize Jeter's HOF chances. :)
  5. SisterPie comes up big with the outfit for RosePie last night: She's gonna have to hit the weights to fill that out by April though. (last baby picture, promise)
  6. I don't see that anyone has to be positive for the losses. "Eh, one more game until the draft down" is all you need and then move on to the rest of your life. If you want to get fancy, "Myers had a couple nice rushes and wasn't terrible in his own end", "It's nice to see Weber stick up for Samson, even if it was a clean hit", "Good god, Zemgus, keep doing that". See? Not so hard. I'll settle for the best product averaged over a decade, thanks. Finishing 30 30 18 14 3 7 6 2 1 5 1 looks a better to me than 20 15 10 19 12 8 18 11 15 7. Even if the tank doesn't bring a cup, I think the numbers will look more like the former (substituting 2..6 for the 1s) than the latter. (And no, I didn't actually average those to see if they fit my point) It's more nostalgic than refreshing to anyone that was around in the late 90s watching.
  7. +10.
  8. Nice! One of the first places my now-wife and I went while we were dating was a kayak float at the Del. Water Gap. Great area.
  9. I love my WRX and all, but if I were starting from scratch today, I'd be looking at something like a AWD Honda Element for the family car and a Fiat 500 for my daily commuter.
  10. What was he thinking? The whistle shouldn't have blown until Toronto gained possesion of the puck.
  11. :) The brie found me a at a low point, rock bottom*. It was just the WORST. SS has given me perspective, thanks everyone. Brie is good. The fire drill here at work got me outside in the breeze and sun. This pesto cous-cous is pretty good. THE F'N SABRES OF BUFFALO PLAY TONIGHT! These are your BUFFFFFFFF-A-LO SAYYYYYYYYY-BRES (in monster truck announcer voice). * Incidentally, I'm going to Rock Bottom brewery for a beer tonight.
  12. I'm eating it in a cube instead of my previous Fortress-of-solitude office! They closed the building I was in, now I'm in another building that's a lot more sensitive about who gets doors and who doesn't rate.
  13. I'm going to go out and have a BEER with people after work today. It's a brave, new world.
  14. As I sat today eating my spinach, fresh fruit, and brie salad from the cafe, all I could think was, my life can't get any worse!
  15. The pants of the person to their right. Rowr.
  16. I guess my point is, do you see Pysyk or Myers coming in gloves flying when someone takes a run at Reinhart? I don't know that I see that happening. Weber, Stewart, maybe Stafford, but I don't see that. I don't think Gionta or Hodgson are going to give anyone pause either.
  17. But squares ARE rectangles! The house is burning!
  18. I'd prefer 30th of course. 20th would be a disaster. I like Hodgson and all, but he was a 10th-overall pick in 2008. The Sabres need someone significant in this draft, seems like most years by time you get to 5-6th pick guys already have flaws and more risk.
  19. I think it's pretty easy to see the point of: - watching a game, want the team to play well and win - after they lose, not being upset with it - realizing that one more crappy season may be worth it in the long run RU sure?
  20. Oh, how is it possible that you just became even cooler than before!
  21. One of the best fights in recent memory.
  22. http://www.tunersgroup.com/Products/KAPS_R4.html Doesn't have a price tag, but somewhere else mentioned $10k.
  23. I'll echo someone else that there's not much size and grit on that line, it better get paired up with the tougher D pairing.
  24. Hey, if you're hanging around in rural PA a lot, Verizon seems to have better coverage.
  25. Rally-style would imply a sequential shifter (just gear up and gear down, like a motorcycle) to me. I'd have to reconsider a Civic if that's an option. Like this, pull to go up a gear, push forward to go down a gear.
