    And there's the completion of the troll. It's nice to see one wrapped up all 30-minute-sitcom-style in a single reading. No, no one should have to defend Myers against silly comparisons but there's only one reason we're discussing it.

    It's interesting the dilemma on this game if you're pro-tank. You have to balance out what you think where these teams will be at the end of the year. If you figure St. Louis ends up at the #20 pick, you're OK with the Blues winning this one as 2 points won't matter much (difference between picks 18-22 is still in maybe "they'll be good territory"). If you think the Blues have a chance at a lottery pick, you want the Sabres to win. On the flip side, if you think the Sabres are irrevocably at the bottom of the league a win here is fine since it hurts the Blues. If you think there's a chance the Sabres will see some competition at the bottom, the risk of 2 points is too great. Personally, I treat this like almost any other game: "woo, they won!" if the Sabres win, and "eh, CHL leaders" if they don't. OT wouldn't be any fun.

    Maybe not an agenda, I suppose it could just be Fox news being incompetent and reporting this sotry until now too. I'm sorry, you can only get outraged about this if you're already on one side or the other. Both parties continuously lie and hold the electorate in contempt as standard operating practice. One party seems to be a lot better at it though.

    In a recent example, John McCain was born in Panama (not that was President, of course, but it would have looked pretty silly to have elected him and then, "oops!").

    I agree, he's ending the Toronto series so he can move play-off games up there! Somehow, I doubt the NFL pays attention to anything other than itself when scheduling games.

    I hate to mention it since I'd like to get a table up there when I'm in town, but Bar Bill in EA was recently named the best place in the country to get wings.     I'd hope that it'd affect jersey sales enough that they'd cancel it, but I see enough people with soccer jerseys that are just a corporate logo that I don't hold out much hope.

    The way I was thinking was that when you hit OT, you're guaranteed not to get the full 2-CHL-points for the game. So you've locked up at best an OTL, but you could still lose outright. I'm just trying to put that into a concise phrase for fun and profit.

    This is more confusion than complaint. I recently found out the girlfriend of one of my motorcycle friends committed suicide. I didn't know her well or anything although we spoke on a number of occasions including a few weeks ago. This makes two suicides in the last year within my motorcycle family (the other was a great guy who apparently had some demons none of us knew about, despite BS'ing around the campfire in NW PA). How in the shart is suicide beating fatal accidents 2-0 in my motorcycle circles?

    So when a team reaches OT, I think they have "guaranteed an OTL, and now are going for a straight loss", right? Just trying to get backwards world lingo down.

    Every year I consider doing it, and every November 4th I remember and say, screw it, maybe next year. My wife like my beard though, so I'd have to go with the Amish look and shave the stache while keeping the rest. :)

    Is no one else worried that the sudden influx of talent might ruin the quality of the CHL? I don't think Carolina Toilet Bowls really rolls off the tongue. Carolina Flush has a nice ring to it, plus it almost sounds like a legitimate ECHL team name. That being said, Candy Canes is great too.

    I suppose this is a good a place as any for this: I was in DC last week and ended up talking to a Buffalo guy next to me at Dogfish. Turns out he was skiing with Darcy a couple years ago (his brother knows him or something). They talked hockey some and apparently Darcy said something like, "the team is never going to get better until they get their center situation sorted out". What the hell was Darcy waiting for if he knew this?
