It currently smells like cigarettes in here. My guess is that someone is smoking right next to the compressor. It never ceases to amaze me how often I see people smoking directly next to the signs that say "smoke free campus".

She never looked anything like that. They shaved off so much cheekbone in that picture that she doesn't even look like an actual human being.

Unfortunately I have watched football on one Thursday. That was enough for me. All the suspensions for stupidity really pushed me towards the edge, piled on top of the downward spiral in the quality of the league's product over recent years. I still want to see them win, but I don't actually want to see them. I hope I'll get it back someday, but I doubt it happens.

I've yet to watch a single second of football any weekend so far. It's been great.

Ristolainen probably stole his girlfriend via the internet. That kind of thing happens to Lambert from time to time.

It's probably urine. How photoshopped is her face there? That barely even looks like her. Then again, I can't remember the last time I actually saw her on TV.

Lame

I have to say, after reading all the crap in here I half expecting Scott to pull the plug. It almost sounds like a few actually want that and it blows my mind. I now know why X, in my opinion one of if not the most interesting poster to read, walked away. I genuinely do not understand the way people operate anymore and what it is we actually talk about around here. So just in case my fear does come to, thanks for what you've put together here Scott. I'd venture to guess that most people do appreciate the little world you've built for us here.

I would expect the "some people just like to watch the world burn" quote. And all I take from what has been said here since my most recent post is that some people take this place way too seriously. Censorship? Challenging authority? It's a freaking message board. The social and political angst is way over the top.

My wife saw a kid at her school today (in NC) wearing a Sabres Dale Hawerchuk shirt. How's that for random?

I for one have a big problem when anyone takes issue with how Scott runs this board (it's happened in here a few times). He's gone a long way to provide this place to us free of charge. He has given to us far more than anyone has to him. For that reason alone, I wish people would drop the petty board related complaints.

I've now been called for jury duty within about a year of becoming by eligible in three different states. After hearing so many stories from old timers who have never been called once in their lives, I have a hard time believing the process is random.

How much did that cost?

Two years tops, but yes, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if at least two jump ship to juniors. Oh and stop taking things so literally (insert winking face here since I'm on my phone)

How do you differentiate between the two from a marketing standpoint, specifically when you're talking to a market that is going to have both?

I can see why I forget about that one, a series of one and dones (I'll include Okposo as one)... which is exactly what BU will get.

Listening to the local sportscaster on the news constantly refer to one of the Pro Bowl teams as "Team Irving", she said it at least five times. Remind me again how you got this job. She also read off the name Jerry Rice in a very confused "who the hell is that" tone.

A while back I said BU currently has four guys projected in the first. I missed one, it's five. That's crazy. I'm sure a couple will fall too the second, but if even three go I don't remember seeing that for any school.

Speaking of space, Jupiter is super bright tonight.

Traffic

I'm starting to get that impression for most of the so called painting they did. We get a 1 year follow-up where they check on a ton of things before warranties expire and I think I may demand they repaint half the rooms in the house. If paint is the worst problem we have though, I can live with that.

They're getting a ton of national coverage for this. They're going to have to send the message that the refs are protected. Hell, I don't want to know how the refs react if Wideman walks. All I know is that I can't wait for the suspension video just to hear them talk about whether or not linesman A returned from injury.

My house is new construction, about 6 months old now. I'm starting to get random baseball size spots in the ceiling paint in a few rooms that is very rough, looking something like sandpaper. Otherwise, the ceilings look smooth like they should. It wasn't like this before. Is there anything other than just a really crappy paint job that could cause this?
