I have no idea what to make of this. I just watched a woman at work fill up her water bottle about 90% of the way with cold water. Then she topped it off with warm water.

My neighbor just bought one and his daughter is named Alexa. I look forward to the insanity.

There will be more. There always are. It's a vicious cycle that no team can avoid.
-
I just hope Asplund has never watched an NHL game if he's saying that.
-
He never was. Liger just really likes obsessing over prospects.
-
And if he's that big of a student and has been hitting the classes hard, he could graduate after three years. That it he can finish during the summer. Leaving school a year early isn't that much of an obstacle for for degree.

Works for me. People loved it years ago when a marginal guy like Kaleta was lighting up the higher tier prospects, but I never understood it. There's very little to gain from letting someone who thinks he has something to prove go out there and run the other kids.

I haven't seen the full list, but I'll be curious to see how many hearings actually happen across the entire league. It'll be a handful at best.

I'm not sure why anyone focuses on the numbers at these camps. You have 40 kids, many of which who are not actually under contract with the team yet. There's guaranteed to be craziness in the numbers. The only thing I'd pay attention to with numbers is if they gave a goalie 00. That should be a requirement.

Yep, attention whores have to ###### for attention. edit: Interesting, the singular gets filtered but the plural does not. -
Cap floor teams do not change a thing. As Taro stated earlier, the players are guaranteed an exact percentage of the total revenue, nothing more and nothing less. So in other words, there is an exact amount of dollars that are given out to the players. If the sum of salaries winds up being less than that numbers, the differences is divided up proportionally among all players. If all teams spend up to the cap, the players would more than likely wind up handing money back to the owners. I don't know the exact numbers on the whole thing, in the CBA, there is a complex calculation that determines the mid-point for salaries. They then add $8 million to that for the cap and subtract $8 million for the floor. I'd imagine it's actually that mid-point that they expect to be the total amount spent per team.

It definitely isn't, but with each pass, they're getting a bigger piece of that pie. They're doing very well for themselves, no matter what anyone thinks. That new team should add a sizeable amount of HRR to the pie, so the players will see a good amount of benefit from it. I wish I knew what the typical revenue was per team because I'd be curious to see how that balances out with the additional team's worth of players now drawing from the player's share.

I'm too lazy to scan through the whole thing, but I imagine they're still sticking to only having guys who are on their ELCs and the drafted guys?

I just hope he doesn't take his mask off to talk to the villain or some random passer by every chance he gets. That drove me mad in the Raimi series. The mask is intended to hide your identity, so you probably shouldn't be taking it off every chance you get. I guess it served a purpose in the 2nd one in the train scene, but otherwise it was ridiculous. -
I will forever refuse to refer to any system where billionaires and millionaire collectively pull in the same amount of money as "being bent over". I'm also not going to point a finger at either side should they lock out again since both play a role in slowing down that process. As you say, players shouldn't be blamed for attempting to increase their worth, but the owners shouldn't either.

People manage to both succeed and fail at the same time with the so called correct pronunciation Benoit Pouliot's name.

Yeah, it's cringe worthy seeing anyone complain about that. -
Other than the head scratching inclusion of Franson, there's a very obvious trend in age on that list. It's also is half full of former Sabres. That's an odd coincidence.

And soon we'll be the first winter classic home team to play on the road. It's nothing but firsts for us. -
I'm going all out liger here:
-
Has there been anything saying he's actually coming over full time? He could still stay in Sweden.
-
That whole description has $1.25 million written all over it.
-
Bonino and Wilson back together? I officially have a western conference team.

There's plenty of other diseases out there that could use all of that new found research money if cancer was ever cured.
