It's fair... Well, I don't know why they weren't throwing to their 6'7 311lb receiver/TE more. I thought Pittsburgh's offense lacked imagination and allowed Buffalo to actually step up to stop the run. There were mistakes by the Steelers offense as well, no doubt. I just wasn't impressed.. and yeah Rodgers has the cast but it doesn't hurt his throwing. Not complaining, just that the Bills have managed to puke all over themselves a few times this season. Beating the Steelers who are clearly much worse than I thought they were (I didn't think they were all that great) just doesn't get me all jazzed up. Sure they won, but they've got a long way to go.

Huh? The dude would punt from the other teams 35 if he had the chance. He coached not to lose rather than to win most games.

GDT: Winnipeg Jets at Buffalo Sabres, 7:30pm EST on MSG & ESPN+ 📺

This is actually a very good call out. I suppose I could have likened it to a prep school honors class instead? No harm... 🙂 -
I dont care about Baltimore and game within the division. The Bengals have a horrible defense.

.... and the proper abbreviation would, appropriately as you say, be SH1T, not SHITT, am I right Inky? 😉

Well they beat Carolina already this year doing the same thing. Brady forces teams to stop a play before he stops calling it. If they don't stop it, he just keeps calling it.

That's good news from a pipeline front. Ziemer seemed like a bargain on draft day. Nice to see him doing well.

I can see it both ways. I have a stronger feeling about start times on Saturdays though. I love Saturday afternoon games...yet at the same time I wouldn't want to give up Saturday night games. In a perfect world, I'd love the Sabres to play a ton of home games on Saturdays....alternating between 1pm afternoon starts where the building is usually pretty full with kids and families...and then in between have the 7:00 or 7:30 Saturday night game.

Agreed. It does not matter to me where the chances and goals come from. I want the overall number of them low.

A turnover that results in an uncontested shot from the front of the net that becomes a goal is counted the same as a non-turnover but bad positioning that eventually results in an uncontested shot from the front of the net that becomes a goal. If the Xga number is good, but there are a lot of turnovers that result in good scoring chances, that means that there is probably really, really good overall play to make up for those turnovers that result in that good xga number. I want that xga number low. If someone said I could reduce the number of turnovers by the D-men by 5 per week, but in return I have to add from other places 10 shots from the slot due to bad positioning, therefore raising that xga number....I'll take the turnovers with the overall lower xga.

i was unaware of this. i have so few memories of him. maybe essentially none? i picked up on this trope (truism) from mcdermott. dude says it all the time, and has been saying it for years.

melvin novotny as well. maybe the sabres should be cashing those 2nd-6th round picks in for more 7th round choices 😂 edit: it appears their other (third) 7th round pick is also killing it in the MHL. Yevgenvy prokhorov. sporting a ~.950 save percentage and maybe being moved up to the khl?

Well, he got roasted for saying how hard it is to win in the NFL but he was a better coach than given credit for and he didn’t have much to work with during his tenure here, especially at QB. My biggest gripe with him was the Maybin pick, which he pounded the table for at the time despite reservations of others in the scouting department and front office. But an off the charts pro day by Maybin at Penn State made Jauron blind to anyone else.

I love this thread for all the wrong reasons. Allow me to explain: 1) I already feel like AI is running this team because its the same reguritated crap we've seen for years reconfigured into a new consolidated form that looks slightly better than before, but still something is obviously not right. I don't think there isn't a lot of "real" intelligence in this front office, and the main reason for that is the guy running the show only knows how to dig holes, sell oil, and convince people to give him money. You don't have to be smart for that. Good for him, bad for us. 2) The claim that solar and wind are expensive and are increasing the cost of electricity is 100% not true. I won't pontificate here, but if you are truly interested in learning why then google LCOE. Not only are solar and wind are the cheapest forms of energy production, they come online faster than gas or nuclear (solar or wind can take from 6-18 months, while gas (5-7 years) and nuclear (9-12) take much longer. The real increased cost of electricity is the fact these towns and residents are completely subsidizing the data center electrical demands on the grid along with your normal everday corporate greed. 3) Nuclear has it's place in the mix, but grid demand is not linear, it is intermittent. Once you start that nuclear reaction, the power has to go somewhere. That is why a good baseload strategy is a mix of gas and nuclear with wind and solar to handle peak and unplanned loads. It really is that simple. 4) New nuke tech is coming online over the next 5-7 years but as many mention above, 1) it requires a ton of water, 2) transportation of fuel and waste is problematic, 3) the proliferation of nuke plants requires geo-politic stability, which I have zero confidence in. For example, the risks were/are extreme when Russia went into Ukraine Not looking to debate anyone on anything, because, well, I've been in this industry for 25 years and have heard all the talking points, all the biases, all the "solutions," and worked on everything but nukes at this point. Just felt I needed to step in and make sure the correct information is out there...

I don’t care what Shittsbugh’s record is, they are ass. No idea how they’ve beaten anyone quite frankly. Just not a good team. Browns, Jets, Panthers and Flacco let Bengals account for most of their wins. Not exactly murderers row.

What happened this week with Baltimore only scoring 14 on that defense?
