I was at work during the game but I watched the highlights. Malenstyn's goal was amazing on multiple levels. Obviously, his move around the defender and the one to score were nuts. The two passes by Kozak and Krebs were freaking awesome to see. Both make a play when they know they're getting hit. That's the effort I want to see more of on this team.

This line played its fourth line role very well. It played hard and tight throughout the game. Kosak fits in well on that line. He is solidifying his spot on the team.

Based on who plays now that all are healthy, Is Lyon the one on the trading block?

I feel like there is going to be an everyone sits for 3 or so games rotation until at least 1 goalie solidifies a spot, whether that spot is as the 1G or the pressbox.

Was a good game... Refs in full force... Wow... I know officiating isn't always consistent but jeeeesh that was some badness from the drop.

We got our butter dishes so that's good too 😂

Fun time with the meet up, hope we can make it even bigger next season.

Got some noise finally going in the morgue that is KBC, fairly full as well.

I've been fooled too many times, so let's see where they go from here.

I disagree. Even if he brings some great hockey I just don't think he will stay healthy so building around him leads to problems. You'd be better off shedding that salary so you can pay Tuch or whoever else.

He won't stay healthy. Guaranteed.

You're injury prone until you aren't.

There's too much chatter about teams calling the Sabres. Sometimes going, unless....

Don’t know, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Kevyn decided to keep all 3 for the season.

... No one offers sufficient value for UPL, or maybe Lyon. Then they hold until the deadline.

Samuelsson was constantly plagued with lingering injuries, and it affected his play to the extent that the enraged mob wanted to get rid of him for nearly nothing.

His play since signing the contract stunk. Doing nothing last year while Thompson was laying on the ice was inexcusable. He has been a big part of the problem. He’s been kicking ass since game 1 this season. Give me MOAR MUEL!

Plus with Pittsburgh upcoming, the Penguins have lost 7 out of their last 9 after a hot start. They are old, pretty slow, and their 2nd and 3rd pair D-men are pretty much a collection of nhl journeymen.  They will be well rested though.

So your saying we are doomed?

If he keeps up this level of play through the rest of the season he’ll have the second best contract on the team.

Yeah I can't see him going anywhere...he plays his role very well and it's very much needed.

I think everyone is recognizing what I was seeing last year.  He was an NHLer then, just not enough roster spots.  I think we're going to see the same thing this year with Rosén and Östlund:  Looking like they're ready, just figuring out how and where they fit in.  This is what normal depth development looks like.

I think the three headed monster is here to stay unfortunately. All three have been inconsistent this year. The trick is going to be playing the goalie each game that is not going to crap the bed.
