I do not accept this response. Housing in Buffalo is a third of the cost of the average NHL city. The proximity to southern Ontario is real. Did you know the Sabres are middle of the pack for taxable income relative to the rest of the league? It’s tru. And Sabres alumni love it here. The Sabres are not a victim of circumstances. They are an excuse of circumstances of an incompetent general manger. Quote

Youngest teams were Montreal, Buffalo and Anaheim and when asked who is the future, Montreal got one and the Ducks two. Buffalo is a perennial “shake up” mode team. Verbeek built the Anaheim roster properly. Even his “cap dumps” from the Rangers are crushing it. How about a Kesselring Gordie Howe hat trick? Does Kesselring hit or fight? I'm still waiting to see something from him. He just looks lethargic and awkward to me most of the time. Doan didn't hit any of his old buddies. Guess he still likes them. Remember when we were discussing getting Trouba for their cap dump plan? Quote

He does so many sneaky good things with his active stick and awareness, but isn't a huge driver on his own. His line with McLeod and Doan looked really solid to me earlier, but that leaves poor, drive-by TT exposed and vulnerable without a healthy Benson. Was cool a couple times to watch Quinn force the action and set up his younger linemate. For whatever that's worth. I've been saying that for years. he has a role and is a good player but there are lots of warts too 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago When Calgary comes to town next Wednesday, there's a good chance the loser of the game is in last place in the league (depending on if Nashville can break their losing streak). 1 Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago At this point blow it all up and start over. Power blows, Tuch isn’t worth more than 5-6 million, Thompson has looked unmotivated for most of these games. Dahlin will want out soon. 1 1 Quote

Broken Ankles Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Colorado is -300 on the ML bet. Seems like a trap game. Or it ends up 10-1. @PromoTheRobot lay the 2.5 goals for -125. Quote

Make a couple other upgrades and it is a legit playoff team. But they need to make an upgrade at GM before either of those other moves get made. What has this team shown that makes you believe they could be a playoff team? Quote

I truly hope he returns this season and goes 55 points in 55 games and Sheevyn is a damn genius for acquiring him. But the reality is, he's 2C when he's healthy and he's not been healthy in 6 years. And that was this GM's choice as the 1C going into a "lame duck coach/GM saying it's all about the playoffs" season. Fools. Face it. Norris is a bust. Quote

He’s been invisible It has been my opinion for some time now that the Sabres should NOT sign Alex Tuch to an expensive extension. It will be a bad return on investment. He'll be 30 years old when his next contract is signed. Have you watched him closely this year? He is invisible. Does he play like a $10 million dollar player? NFW! He looks like he knows he's going to get paid by some team and he's going through the motions. No passion, no desire, no anything. Time to get what you can for him before the trade deadline. The Sabres have got to stop resigning players who are not good enough. I could name half the roster of players who got new contracts for no good reason. Where is McLeod, Krebs, Malenstyn, Quinn, Greenway, Bryson, etc. Don't keep the same players that failed to make the playoffs and expect something magical to change. Quote
