I thought they said on the broadcast last night that it tied the team record.

they did.

The good news is that they are finding ways to not lose in regulation, but for some reason don't seem to handle the pressure of OT very well.

I don't know. But fighting hard in every game right down to the end is good for them, They just need to start coming out on top of these games

Yup.

The Eastern Conference hasn't begun to stratify yet, but when it does these OTL points are going to be hugely important.

It's just too bad they don't realize that "the end" means 65 minutes, not 60.

What this team needs to solve “most” of its problem is for Tage, Alex and Rasmus to step up. There are other issues but them three playing up to their ceiling and they’d be in first place right now.

Well a lot of us here talked about needing to learn how to play together 5 on 5 with better goal tending, so far they are checking that box.

Now they need to learn how to do it 3 on 3.

Improving the coaching would help in that regard.  The same guy drawing up schemes for the PP and late in the game seems to be the same one drawing up the schemes for very late in the game (aka OT) as well.

You (usually) can't fix stupid, but you can fire it and put someone better in its place.  😉

Here you go

The NHL record for the most consecutive regular season overtime games is five, achieved by the Montreal Canadiens from October 27 to November 8, 1999. This is a team record, and since this is a relatively recent record, it is likely that there is no definitive individual record for most consecutive overtime games in a row. It's worth noting that the record for most playoff overtime games in a single season is 14, set by the Los Angeles Kings in 2013-14.

We have tied the record... 1 more to take it.
