Sure am - I watched the very first Jays game against the White Sox on tv in 1977 as a 13 year old. The Expos were my number one, but we know how that went. Go Jays!

I remember the snow, Dave Steib starting, and I believe it was delayed a day because of weather.

1st MLB game I ever saw was June 1979 Blue Jays at the old CNE against the California Angels at the time. Nolan Ryan was the starter, what a thrill!! When times were different, we were pre-teens and went and sat on the stairs behind home plate between innings to watch Nolan warm and see how hard he threw up close.

We were on a school field trip; my 2 other buddies were with me too. This reporter came up to us with his TV man and said we're on TV, could he ask us some questions. We told him where we were from, what school, how old etc... What a rush! We went home and watched the Canadian news station and we weren't shown. I think he was just Jaking us, but we were so excited!

Quite a first game experience for sure. Ironically, stole a Canadian girl for a wife when I got older 😀

Outfield tickets were like $2!

Honestly I thought the Blue Jays were screwed when they let the Yankees come back on them in Game 3. In fact if I was in my home state at the time I would have bet the Yankees to win the series because that's how it goes. Luckily I couldn't. 😆

I grew up loving the Yanks, it was a family tradition passed down from Dad and Uncles.

The current Yankees are missing too many baseball intangibles that it takes to win a championship.   The don't play the field well, they throw to the wrong bases, they are just average base runners, they have an unreliable bull pen, and they seem to score by home runs rather than clutch hitting up and down the line up.

The Yanks have playoff wildcard talent but nothing in that mix that makes them special.

I would like to see the Jays make a run at it.

My first MLB game was the Angels at Jays in 1977. Joe Rudi hit a HR, but the Jays won. Don't really remember much else. It was a thrill

Expos v. Giants at Olympic Stadium, for me.  I was 15, and my family decided to take a four-day trip to Montreal by train. It was my first train trip and led to a life-long love of train travel.  But CN went on strike while we were in Montreal, so my dad had to rent a car so we could get home.  He let me drive part of the way over my mother's objection so I could get some practice in before turning 16 the following month.
