I lived in Concord many moons ago and, from Google Maps images, Portsmouth seems to be very different, like Austin different. The old parts of the city are still the same, preserved historically. Parts of Portsmouth predate the USA by a hundred years. Most of the new development is on the periphery of the city, though there are is some new commercial development near downtown but outside the historic zone. Concord has seen far more improvement. When I got here in 1993 it's nickname was "City in a Coma" which was sadly accurate. Now a days, it feels more like Burlington VT. Edited 5 hours ago by PromoTheRobot Quote
dudacek Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Marty said last week that he's skeptical Benson is talented enough to play with Norris and Tage. Said today he thought they lacked chemistry in the weekend scrimmage and will be watching them closely today. 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Keep in mind the Sabres stream will be limited to the immediate Buffalo area. Quote

Zach Benson isn't even old enough to drink. If he was showing up this year with a 150pt Jr season last year, everyone would have sky high expectations. Quote

I agree with you on this, but Marty has been right all along on UPL and unlike many commentators, he does know something about playing in the NHL. I hope’s wrong as I really like Benson (& Kulich) and want to flourish. Quote

So... they can stream a scrimmage worldwide, but a preseason game just can't get out of the local region? I hesitate to listen on the online radio only as I'm unlikely to have any concept of what's going on. Particularly preseason where you've got a random guy like Kopff who the announcers don't recognize so they just don't mention what he's doing with the puck. (But Dunleavy is very good about announcing left-to-right or right-to-left at the beginning of each period.) 1 Quote

Just for clarification, he meant that as in at this moment in time Benson doesn't belong on the 1st line with Thompson THIS year, right? Not that he's implying he doesn't see Benson ever belonging there. Quote

Expecting it has to do either with the way their contract with MSG is written or the league's contracts with Disney and TNT are written. This has been SOP for a while now. Which stinks for the OoTers. Quote

dudacek Posted 1 minute ago Report Posted 1 minute ago The fact that they won't make this available to folks who want to watch and are willing to pay always baffles me. Quote
