He was ranked 3rd for best shutdown defender and was ranked 2nd behind only Brady Martin for hardest hitters according EPs draft guide.

Solid pick, I show him ranked at 71, picked at 71. Seems destined to a bottom pair role, with little to no offensive ability, which is fine for a 3rd rounder

Just making the show in any form is doing more than fine for a 3rd rounder.

OK, well he identified the need and is getting as many resources as possible to ensure at least a few pan out.

I can't complain about it.

Which MIGHT have us still in the Darcy Regier portion of the 3 GM in 1 One Man Show as we're in flashback mode to the Grigorenko-Girgensons, Ristolainen-Zadorov, and arguably even the Long and Short of Two Tylers mode.

It is SOOOOOOO confusing.

His consolidated was 79. I just find it interesting that EP had him 47th.

The first few posts kept referencing in ice violence. Put a jersey on him and stick him in the third pair.

Hits like Brady Martin

Someone reset Adams. He has glitched on RHD.

Big physical dman who takes the man and clears the net front

I suspect it ain’t him, it’s Lindy.

We desperately need guys who are truly hard-wired to play this style…not hoping that they can be “coached” to play this way.  Maybe Kevyn really did watch the playoffs this year.

My sarcastic side hopes this current Sabres’ regime doesn’t try to neuter his aggression.

Sabres are choosing violence.

Less choosing violence than it is choosing less pacifism imo. I think the non response to the attack on Tage made Lindy blow a fuse.

Haha, definitely not ... Regier might be one of the all-time GMs in fleecing other GMs in trades.

Drury, Briere and Gaustad trades were all heavily lopsided towards the Sabres, among others.

Just wanted an "attitude adjuster" or a few of them

For far too long the strategy against Buf has been to "go for the kneecaps" (so to speak) when being outplayed by Buf.

Lucich's cheapie on Miller still haunts this team (even with John Scott single-handedly ending the goon era by rearranging Thorton's noggin the following season).

Buffalo, the hockey club, has a serious lack of jam/grind/moxie/toughness, whatever you want to call it. I'm not suggesting that they become a modern day Syracuse Bulldogs. Just swap out some of our "skill" for some much-needed grit!

Hopefully, this off-season, with the moves being made, is doing that?

Ultimately, I'm not convinced Adams is capable of constructing a "team" so, hopefully, Jarmo is being given the authority to put his stamp on the product?

15 effing years of limp-d!ck hockey is waaaaay too much, IMO!!!

C'mon Terry, give us back our lust for the Sabres...

Then they need to pick up a few NHL players that can play right now and throw'em.   This kid is years away.

Kesserling and Doan have no compunction about sticking up for their teammates, so that’s a start anyway.
