OverPowerYou Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 (edited) Marchand is actually not that hateable when he’s wearing a uniform for a team nobody hates. Also, Toronto fans are terrible. Besides the booing, there is never any energy in their arena. Compared to the Dallas game last night. Complete 180 Edited May 19 by OverPowerYou 4 1 Quote

Porous Five Hole Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 This is your yearly reminder that the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1967 and have NEVER won three rounds in a single playoff year. A tradition of failure! 1 Quote
KC Scouts Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 Simply delicious......I will enjoy the fallout from the Maple Laffs fans 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 Who's that super annoying leafs guy that does those YouTube videos where he screams with that high pitched whine? He's gotten popular sadly, but would enjoy seeing that meltdown from this 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 (edited) If Quinn were traded. (And Byram or Power for a revitalized playoff-capable 2nd pair RHD) would you offer Marchand a 2yr $6M contract to be a middle 2RW behind Tuch? Edited May 19 by DarthEbriate Quote

Big Guava Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 (edited) As usual Toronto folds like a cheap tent in high pressure big game situations. Edited May 19 by Big Guava Quote

I don't think in any way shape or form Marchand would come to Buffalo (I think he'd be more likely to actually become a Leaf than a Sabre) but he is most definitely the kind of veteran leader the team needs. He practices, preaches, and competes to high standards. 1 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 It was interesting to watch Seth Jones dominate offensively in this game. Made me think, when we had Montour, he was inconsistent and sometimes awful. So much so we cast him aside. Florida took a chance and turned him into an offensive force. Signed a fat free agent contract with Seattle and was overall meh. Average at best and over paid. Now Seth Jones was dreadful in Chicago. Much like Montour here, and yet now he's looking exactly like Montour did in Florida. So the obvious thing to consider is perhaps it's not so much the individual players you need to examine on the Sabres, but maybe the coaching and the system itself. Just something to ponder over the summer 🙂 5 1 Quote
OverPowerYou Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 Quick turnaround for the panthers as they play on the road Tuesday whereas the Oilers play Wednesday. These playoff schedules are odd sometime d Quote

The fans gave up at 2-0, you could feel the air coming out of the arena. Once again the whole team and their fans show they deserve each other. Biz was railing on his team in the intermission prior to the 3rd period, he is a true Leave fan. And why does a national broadcast hockey analyst and color man have to declare a favorite team. Biz is a Bush League clown show. And shouldn't the fans in Toronto know better than to litter the ice during play, someone threw a Leafs sweater on the ice during play? Edited May 19 by Pimlach Quote

Mathews has 401 goals and over 727 point in 629 games, includes two 60 goal seasons. Where is he going to guy and not be the main guy? He is the highest paid player in the NHL. Quote

He is not built to stand in front of the Toronto media with the C on and answer the hard questions. He will be miserable, especially with his buddy Marner out of town. Quote

He needs a situation like Eichel had. Eichel wasn’t the leader of the Golden Knights when he got to Vegas. He could just step in and play. Edited May 19 by SabresBillsFan 1 Quote

Conversely, when players play on a team with a lesser talent base their production numbers decline. Basically, if you improve the team, it will rise the production tide for other players. 1 Quote
