Wilson's daughter, I believe her name was Linda Bogdan, was a pioneer in the NFL when few women held any positions. I don't know her level of skill as a scout, but one player she did find for the Bills was linebacker Carlton Bailey. Which led to hockey's Justin Bailey to be born in Buffalo.

I do remember that Polian did criticize the owner’s daughter’s football acumen within the organization. Wild Bill was a terrific GM and also very volatile. I distinctly remember that Polian and Littman had ferocious clashes about spending. Supposedly, Littman told the owner that he had enough of the GM’s belligerence and either he or the GM had to go . Littman had the longer association with the owner, so Polian departed after the football season.

So add her to the list of people who did nothing good for the Sabres?😁

Justin Bailey was an intriguing prospect. If you just considered his physical talents and measurables, you would be impressed. However, for whatever reasons those physical traits never translated well when playing. The problem wasn’t effort or work habits. It just didn’t work.

Cook getting a $4M $48M 4 year extension.

Hard Knocks will probably pick this up in Episode 3.

Bills set the tone of a well run franchise.

In Beane We Trust.

I’ll be interested to see if there is a very large fourth year salary built in that the Bills can walk away from. Common tactic that helps agents crow about the great contract they got for their client. In this case 12M per year x 4. It may actually be 3x10 (satisfies guarantee) plus $18m 4th year that Cook may never see.

According to sportrac, it’s essentially a 3 year, $30.1M deal.

i’ll admit: i looked at their detailed breakdown. i can’t quite follow the bouncing ball of how they come up with that figure of ~30M guaranteed over 3 seasons.

Gabe Davis will be visiting the Bills this week

I've been getting such spotty information this preseason.

Are there players in the WR corps that are giving the team concern? I've heard several times that the team would likely move on from Curtis Samuel if the finances worked (which apparently they don't). I also saw a couple of "woof" Tweets from the Chicago practice/game re: Elijah Moore's drops.

Davis doesn't make sense, I don't think. No special teams role. And the team seems to like Coleman and Shavers as "X" style WRs.

The way it makes sense is if Allen both likes and trusts him.  We know he likes him.  Does he trust him in crunch time to make the big catch?  This kid doesn't trust him in that situation, but don't have a say in the matter.

Personally, would rather they keep Shavers (even though his and Gabe's roles wouldn't be identical) if it came down to 1 or the other.
