I don't know her level of skill as a scout, but one player she did find for the Bills was linebacker Carlton Bailey. Which led to hockey's Justin Bailey to be born in Buffalo. I do remember that Polian did criticize the owner’s daughter’s football acumen within the organization. Wild Bill was a terrific GM and also very volatile. I distinctly remember that Polian and Littman had ferocious clashes about spending. Supposedly, Littman told the owner that he had enough of the GM’s belligerence and either he or the GM had to go . Littman had the longer association with the owner, so Polian departed after the football season. Quote

So add her to the list of people who did nothing good for the Sabres?😁 2 Quote

Justin Bailey was an intriguing prospect. If you just considered his physical talents and measurables, you would be impressed. However, for whatever reasons those physical traits never translated well when playing. The problem wasn’t effort or work habits. It just didn’t work. 1 Quote

Night Train Posted Wednesday at 07:23 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 07:23 PM Doesn't kick in until next year. Thus, no current cap issue. He plays out the last year of his current deal. They did the same with OT Brown. Quote
JustOneParade Posted Wednesday at 09:10 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:10 PM I’ll be interested to see if there is a very large fourth year salary built in that the Bills can walk away from. Common tactic that helps agents crow about the great contract they got for their client. In this case 12M per year x 4. It may actually be 3x10 (satisfies guarantee) plus $18m 4th year that Cook may never see. Quote
