Dahlin didn’t have a great game, but he looked like he was the best guy on ice for Buffalo tonight. matter2003 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Share Posted January 2, 2023 They definitely were a little off tonight...lots of opportunities for good chances with a better pass and they just seemed to always end up in a skate or be just a little too far and made the players reach for it and gave the defense time to get to them... Still had some really good chances, just didn't bury them. I'm going to go with them being a little tired from 3 games in 4 nights. Overplaying Dahlin and his first line AGAIN in back to back nights while his rookies sit on the bench and watch... Not pulling the goalie on 3 face-offs in the offensive zone makes no sense... we had to score... Dreams Burn Down Posted January 2, 2023 Report Share Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) We had a lot of shots, but most were inconsequential as they were at the perimeter. The high danger shots that we were afforded we simply did not finish. We certainly didn't do a consistent job clearing the front of our own net; to say nothing of providing any type of consistent harassment of Forsberg. We obviously have work to continue as we build this team. I'd like to see some more grit in this lineup, as well. That’s reasonable for a first line of a team that is down and is trying to win.
