Please note the unusually starting time for 2 east coast teams.

These two teams met less than 2 weeks ago for an entertaining game. The good guys lost in overtime. Do the Sabres have enough gas in their tanks to replicate the play they had the afternoon before against the Avs?

Normal bat channels , new bat time, check in and find out.

What is our record on the second game of back to back?  I can’t recall a win just going on my memory?

I have them at 1-4-4. Only B2B win was 3-1 at Ottawa on Jan 18th.

If we had the talent to be better in OT/SO that record might look much better. Taking the Sabres +1.5 and hoping for an outright win.

• This is the third of three meetings between the Sabres and Blue Jackets this season.
• Last meeting: Columbus defeated Buffalo 4-3 (OT) in Buffalo on Feb. 10, 2022.
• The Sabres are 4-3-3 in their last 10 games against the Blue Jackets; 4-4-2 on the road.

• This is the 38th game all-time between Buffalo and Columbus; Buffalo has a 14-18-5 series record.
• The Sabres are 5-8-3 on the road against the Blue Jackets all-time

• Five of the last eight meetings between these clubs have been decided in overtime, including four of the last five.

• With three goals yesterday vs. Colorado, Tage Thompson registered his first career NHL hat trick. o Thompson's hat trick marked his fifth multi-goal game this season.
• Thompson's hat trick was the second by a Sabres player this week (Jeff Skinner, Feb. 13 at MTL). It's the first time since 2011 that Buffalo had two hat tricks within a week of each other.

• Thompson has 21 points (9+12) in his last 19 games played, including 14 points (7+7) in his last 11 contests.

• Since Buffalo's Jan. 17 game against Detroit, Jeff Skinner, Tage Thompson and Alex Tuchare all producing more than a point per game.
• Tuch (6+10) leads the way with 16 points in 13 games, Skinner has 15 points (7+8) in 13 games and Thompson, who missed two games during that stretch, has 14 points (7+7) in 11 games.

Getting slammed to your back at full speed and then torpedoing everyone you see afterwards will cause a bump or two I bet.

Yeah. I was glad he didn't break a bone in his leg when he went into the boards. Hopefully it's just a day off due to soreness.  He has been outstanding.

On a separate note….I am a pretty chill dude. That said, this thing is getting me frustrated (I know, no one can replace RJ), and, I was listening to the post game show from last night on WGR. They, of course play the Sabres goal calls. I like the guy in interviews, but, Danno, as a play by play, not good. He is miscast, and should do color commentating  somewhere. On replays, he is NOT describing play, rather noting on goal scorers for COL, when TAGE scored 2nd, then yells ‘scores!! TAGE …’ I know @yuri commented directly to Danno, to CALL THE GAME, not working……😡

Dunleavy’s abilities, or lack thereof, have been covered here a lot.  He is not RJ and he will never be RJ.

His chances of ever being embraced by the fans are very low, even if he was better at his craft, he is not RJ.

I know. I was getting off my chest. Ugh.

More light polka dots needed. 😐
