Power, Eklund, Zegras+ is a really nice reset to add to the young core.

I agree with you that if one of the proposed offers from Anaheim is Zegras plus secondary players or 3OA and other secondary players then I would prefer the Zegras trade. In this scenario I would be ecstatic to get Zegras and maybe Comtois for Jack. It would be a good situation for Jack to get a fresh start and the Sabres would add to their roster contributing young players with upside.

Point is there will be people who will most likely will not agree with our moves. If we pick Power first overall or a forward there will be some who will voice disagreement. Same with any trades or no trades.

If Eklund only gets tagged with "good skating" than Power only has "good" hockey sense. It certainly is not elite.

Eklund has better hockey sense and vision, and is a better skater. Considering he was undersized playing against men, he's only just scratched the surface of what he could become.

11 goals in 40 games in the swedish league? Elite skating, vision and hockey sense should result in more production for a winger... shouldn't it?   I love his package of skill, skating and hockey sense... but his lack of production is a concern IMO.
