  1. Most of their high schools are large. They form their ISDs deliberately to make bigger high schools. We had two huge high schools and didn’t live in a big city..
  2. True. But having lived in Texas, nearly every high school has a huge football stadium. Our two area high schools had stadiums of 11.5k and 9k. By northeastern standards, those are huge and could be non-D1 college stadiums.
  3. Only one I’d consider is the Wild deal, and only if they switched Jones with Schneider
  4. I take the Anaheim deal in a nanosecond. Hard to think the Sabres are going to do well this season. With Wright, Lambert, and Savoie all available, they can fill their center spot in the 2022 draft.
  5. I think the deal is going to be Smith, Krebs, Elvenes, Korczak, and a 2022 1st Adams then moves Smith at the TDL with 50% retention for a pick
  6. I think it’s going to be Vegas. I think GMKM and his team are trying to figure out how to make LTIR work in the same way it worked for Tampa. Eichel doesn’t fit under a cap without LTIR, and I assume Tuch and Eichel will both need LTIR time. That will also potentially give Vegas some accrued cap space. Even if Vegas doesn’t dump a contract, they’re under the original cap with Eichel and Tuch on LTIR. So there’s some daily cap space money to accrue. I think the hold up is trying to make it work on Vegas’ end. I’d bet GMKM is trying to make this work without giving up anyone on the roster.
  7. If San Jose goes in on Eichel, it’d need to be futures almost exclusively. The Sharks have too many big contracts to give up current roster players. Getting Eichel would be all about making their last big playoff push. They’d want all hands on deck. I could see Eklund, some combination of prospects (Borderleau, Robins, etc) and a couple first round picks. I think that’s a light package. I also think SJ would be insane to mortgage their future to bet on three 30-some defenders making a Cup run.
  8. Krebs is an average sized forward who plays big. Boldy is power forward sized but doesn’t play big.
  9. Korczak at RD would bring some edge. Chayka just got drafted and could be available
  10. Yeah, it wasn’t a big deal for us. They wear different head gear, are allowed facial hair, and eat differently. Which is really no big deal to accommodate. They all understand that they can’t serve in combat units if they adhere to religious guidelines. They’d need to shave. Chemical/biological protective masks don’t always seal if the wearer doesn’t shave. And getting them a different kind of food is tough. Most of them serve in ways that it doesn’t become an issue, like cyber or medical (Stateside medical facilities).
  11. Is this really the basis of your argument?
  12. He’s not. But he’s had a crappy development situation. Botterill force fed him NHL minutes. And Krueger brought a lot of players down. Have to take in the whole situation and context.
