LGR4GM
So I just missed the best period of the season? Yeah, that sounds about right. You missed the most entertaining period I've seen the Sabres play in years.
darksabre
Robin Lehner must be screaming internally over this goal support.
Winston
When it comes to PP stats (for example, PP%), how is a major like that scored? Is it still 1/1 regardless of whether they score 1, 2, or 17 goals? Or is it PP goals/ PP chances? Edited April 1, 2018 by EichSnipe
LTS
When it comes to PP stats (for example, PP%), how is a major like that scored? Is it still 1/1 regardless of whether they score 1, 2, or 17 goals? Or is it PP goals/ PP chances? It counts as a single PP. So that’s 3 goals,1 PP. But remember, a 5 second power play also counts as a PP opportunity.
Jävə Keith
That PP needs to be hardwired in their memory for next year. Hope that they can build on this confidence after a tire fire of a season. Praying for Victor A.
PASabreFan
You can finish your check. Absolutely. But finish it at the hip. Finishing it high, with an upward trajectory, main point of contact being the head/neck? Enjoy your early shower. And enjoy not needing to hit the shower for a few games as you serve a suspension. I don't think the hit was high. It was totally unnecessary, but I suspect the league upon review is going to cite Antipin turning his back on the play and not suspend the dude. We HAVE to run up Jack's point total as much as possible. Why?
LGR4GM
Why?It's called fun.

So you could finish a game with a PP% far exceeding 100%. Never really gave it much thought before.

Taro T
If I told you on January 1st Sam Reinhart would have 22 goals at be 1 point shy of his previous best, I think everyone would have called me nuts. Considering where your opinion of him at that time was, schizophrenic would be more precise. :p
woods-racer
I agree, but they do it all the time without penalties being called It shouldn't have been that bad, I agree a passing love bump happens all the time, that was a head Hunter hit. Look at Hartnell's stick and elbows and notice how high they are on the hit. Larsson has a reputation and has never done anything close to that. Hartnell will pay for this. Thorny
NHL record for assists in a game is 7. Been done 4 times, 3 by The Great One. How cool would that be for Jack?

Thorny
Don’t look now, but Jack is only one point off a PPG pace again. Can he pick it up in the third for a career-high 6 point effort? 5 is a high already I believe.

It was totally unnecessary, but I suspect the league upon review is going to cite Antipin turning his back on the play and not suspend the dude. Why? Looked to me like Harnell finished high and did so intentionally. His body was definitely moving upward. And the primary point of contact appeared to be Hartnell’s shoulder to Antipin’s neck. Mustache of God
5 is a high already I believe. I feel like jack has had 5 before but i have no evidence to back that up.

So, unless they score rigbt at the 5 minute mark they will end up getting stopped on the final pp. They should be 4/6 now on the pp. (They were 1 for 2 prior to the major & then 3 for 4 on it.) Winston
5 is a high already I believe. I think it ties a career best. 2 goals and 3 helpers against Boston on Christmas Eve back in his rookie year, right?
carpandean
How many times has a player had 5 points and still been a minus (Jack is -1)?

Randall Flagg
I think that was 3 goals 1 assist 4 points. That one was 2 + 2. Two empty net points, or even three. The 3+1 was Carolina around THanksgiving. LOL Pominville
TrueBlueGED
Somewhere, there are nincompoops who aren't impressed by Eichel's 5 assists because they aren't goals.
