That, or because he really does have hockey skills (but awful peripheral vision) that in practice (when he knows where things (players, puck, etc) are & where they're going) the mad skills dominate the sad vision so much that the coach thinks it has to be a fluke when the vision dominates the skill in game. Especially because he still scores even though he's pretty much a unit of 1 when on the ice. It took Atl/Win ~5 years to figure that out. Took Bylsma ~1-1/2 years.
