frissonic Posted August 9, 2012 Report Share Posted August 9, 2012 Note that I think this one is looking like 50-100/hr (depending on who you read), so it's not going to be 4th of July up there, just the occaisional shooting star. 50-100 is nothing to sneeze at as far as meteor showers go. average showers have between 15-30. this is supposedly one of the strongest meteor showers for the next several years. though to be fair, no--it's not going to have 150-200. i can't remember which shower it was, but several years ago, it was ridiculous. if you blinked, you likely missed a couple.
