inkman
Per WGR The Amerks have been using him in a bizarre fashion on the PP. He basically stands in between the face-off dots with his stick cocked, ready for a one timer. He scored last night on this play but it seems to set the other team up for breakaways. Eleven
Was he recalled fondly? In seriousness, I'm anxious to see how he does up here.
nfreeman
So MAG is going to get healthy-scratched in favor of Brennan? That seems odd.
korab rules
So MAG is going to get healthy-scratched in favor of Brennan? That seems odd. Maybe someone else knicked? If MAG sits for Brennan Ruff is really pissed at him - can't imagine why they would call him up if they don't intend to play him.

Weave
GR Is reporting Weber is injuried. Linkie But that wouldn't necessitate a call up unless someone else can't go, I figure they are hedging that Myers gets suspended.
frissonic
But that wouldn't necessitate a call up unless someone else can't go, I figure they are hedging that Myers gets suspended. i doubt he'll be suspended. normally if someone's in trouble, there's some kind of scuttlebutt on nhl.com or wherever. i haven't seen anything even remotely indicating that he's even meeting with shanny. inkman
I hope they bench leopold or Ehrhoff in favor of Brennan. It's no secret I'm not real fond of MAG, but those other guys have been frightening at times.
HopefulFuture
Just in case Myers gets sat down I would imagine. I doubt it, no hearing has even been scheduled as of yet. I'm thinking 7th d man since Weber is hurt.

carpandean
He scored last night on this play but it seems to set the other team up for breakaways. Rochester is playing Lindy's system, too, then? ;)
FogBat
It's no secret I'm not real fond of MAG. IDK if anyone has brought this up in the past, but should we start calling him "Maggie"? (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
shrader
But that wouldn't necessitate a call up unless someone else can't go, I figure they are hedging that Myers gets suspended. Rochester's not right down the road when you're in Carolina. Then again, doing this one day ahead of time is interesting.

No, call him "Granimals". My wife does because she can't pronounce Grangani I think.
tom webster
Given their cap situation, they wouldn't recall him just to watch. I'm sure the Myers thing plays into it( and no, they don't have to have a hearing), but its still interesting that they would call him back early. korab rules
Ink and other Rochester folks - how has Brennan been playing? Maybe this is an indication Weber will be out long term, and they want to have a seventh D-man on hand to get him up to speed on systems.
Sherman
He fits the MAG, Erhoff, Sykera, Myers mold correct? Could they be in trade talks and looking to give up a puck moving defenceman in the trade?

james duncan
An odd call up I think. I didn't see much from him in the preseason. I would think with the number of kids in the minors on D, if a trade is going to be made at some point, it's got to involve one of them. This would provide other teams, and us, a chance to see what he can do I guess.
inkman
Ink and other Rochester folks - how has Brennan been playing? Above average. Nice skater, good shot. Not sure about his D play though.
