  1. Wow, I haven't been here in a while. I'm in for this season, in the Gold league. Either draft day is fine for me. I'm moving away from my Buffalo-themed team names, had no luck whatsoever with those.. so it's 'Legwands of the Fall' this time.
  2. God I'm glad you moved the draft to 9p.. I just got home and was cussing myself out for missing the start of the draft.
  3. I'm in, still in Gold, and 14th for the Draft is fine by me.
  4. Thanks, but I'll stay with one team in Gold.. I've got my hands full this year with fantasy football and soccer and blogging too.
  5. Will we have both the SabreSpace Blue & Gold leagues again this year?
  6. Been away from the board for a couple of weeks, looks like I missed the whole fiasco that arose when my lower seeded team (Calvin's Knughts) invited trade proposals with any higher seeded team. I've read your opinions and would like to explain my reasoning. 1) Trades in fantasy non-keeper leagues are rarely as exciting as they get in real life around the trade deadline when teams are looking to beef up for the run to the Cup. By inviting all the teams to come up with their best trade packages, I was attempting to create some excitement and genuinely allow teams that are in the playoffs to better their rosters. 2) That being said, I did reject a couple of 'way-out-there' trade offers and only pulled the trigger on the ones that came my way that were relatively in the same ballpark according to the Yahoo rankings provided. Of the two deadline deals I made: Steve Ott (Dal - C,LW) & Derek Stepan (NYR - C) given up for P.A. Parenteau (NYI - RW) & Matt Read (Phi - C,RW) Patrick Sharp (Chi - C,LW,RW), Wayne Simmonds (Phi - RW), Brent Burns (SJ - D) given up for Ryane Clowe (SJ - LW,RW), Brad Marchand (Bos - C,LW), Martin Erat (Nsh - RW) Both deals were approved by the Commish and put up for review by all members. I apologize if any of the teams that did make the playoffs feel if I have slighted them or put them at an unfair disadvantage. Good luck to all.
  7. With the trade deadline on Thursday 8th, and Calvin's Knughts well out of contention for the playoffs.. I'm going to be a big seller, so let's hear your offers for Pavel Datsyuk, Patrick Sharp and Wayne Simmonds (or anyone else on the squad). Inventive and innovative trade proposals will receive further consideration (pending League commish review, of course!)
  8. I have been getting the very eerie feeling that my team has been mirroring the Sabres for some weeks now.. haha Ok, so there is nothing in the rules regarding minimum number of d-men a team must have (in the Gold)??
  9. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but it's sure looking that way now.. My team will henceforth be known as Calvin's Knughts to reflect their sheer inability to be consistent and string together more than one good game at a time. Wait a darntootin' minute.. I should call them Calvin's Sabres!
  10. I traded away Green because I have a hunch he's not going to do that great this season post-injury. Had to make a move, my team's going nowhere fast anyways lol
  11. Fair enough, I just wanted to clarify the rules
  12. Anyone have any idea what 'minimum requirements' my team (Calvin's Knights, Gold) did not meet during my Week 10 matchup? I'm assuming it's on the goaltending end since of my three goalies only one actually started a game (Rask). Crawford was benched for Emery in every game the Blackhawks played, and my third goalie Harding was on IR. With only two player adds and a one-day delay, there was little I could do about it. Just trying to clarify the rules so that this doesn't happen again.
  13. TC is on the waiver wire, if there's any takers
