Seriously though, I've been planning on buying my nephew's first pair of skates next year for Christmas. That might just be the perfect place to take them out for their first test run. It is cool as hell. This is far more exciting than Bass Pro shop, and I love Bass Pro shop. I skated canal in ottawa many of times on business trips. It had great ice and many people skated to and from work as well. Canal-side was a wonderful surprise to me when i finally went down there this summer, making it bigger is a great way to get people downtown more, not to mention the skating.
