  1. Just got back, looks like I missed nothing.
  2. Well, I finished high school and didn't chase the money overseas. Education is important to me, and it's been a dream of mine to play in Hockey East. Auston has dreams too, only his contain only dollar signs.
  3. Ha! If I was Jimmy, I'd be getting ready for my sophomore season with the Preds.
  4. I'm going camping tomorrow for 2 days. I told Jimmy to sit tight until I get back. He said he'd wait until Friday, but he does have a history of lying so I took it with a grain of salt.
  5. lets post Vesey pictures until we hit a new page! EDIT: well OK then
  6. And why do you think they hired Bylsma, who coached Jimmy's Dad? ...and drafted Jake McCabe who captained Vesey's world junior team? It's all starting to make sense. In a few days we'll find out if the long con bears any fruit. It's too bad we're talking about overripe maggot infested fruit.
  7. ..and a first last year.
  8. Great I get back from camping on Thursday. If he chooses BUF, he will be Jack's cross to bear.
  9. so is he a UFA on the 15th, or 16th?
  10. Probably asking them for more guarantees of playing time, locker room stall location, number, access to free flights for family members, etc...
  11. There's still a half dozen or so high profile RFAs yet to sign... Gaudreau Monahan Trouba Kucherov Nichushkin Nesterov Lindholm .. somethings got to give, I expect a flurry of signings in early September. The World Cup starts Sept 8th, and most of the RFAs I listed above ar scheduled to play, but that won't happen if they're not signed.
  12. pinned.. until he retires.
  13. foxboro and harvard ain't the NHL, not even close. i'll say one thing, it looks like he's trying much harder than other guys in the summer league. not sure if that's a good or bad thing.... good that his effort level is satisfactory, but bad because maybe at 23 what you see is his ceiling.... which is a very good college level player.
  14. 2196 posts worth of hype... to be exact :P
  15. It depends on Ennis, Moulson and Lehner.
  16. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/bruins/2016/08/nhl_hot_for_jimmy_vesey_and_harvard_star_is_narrowing_list_for_monday “What Jimmy wants to do is see it through,” said Fish. “He’s wanted to go to free agency and he’s going to see it through. There’s about 4-5 teams other than Buffalo that he wants to hear from. And then after that he’s going to make a decision. I think he’d love for the Bruins to be one of those teams. I assume that we will be taking a call from them." “We’ve looked at depth charts with some teams and talked about them. . . . “There’s obviously a lot of thought that goes into it: The city, the coach, the GM, the salary structure, how a team treats their players in the second and third contracts down the road. That said, Jimmy is acting like a little bitch and I can't wait for him to stop taking up all my damn time, you know, he's not the only client I have, but he doesn't seem to get that. He needs to be coddled 24 hours a day by me and my agency, good luck to whichever franchise Jimmy chooses to make miserable for the next half dozen years."
  17. We'll get to see him skate in the World Cup in 27 days.
  18. What about the "Nites"? That would make more sense for Vegans.
  19. Apparently the rights to the name "Knights" in Canada belongs to the OHL's London franchise. However that flies in the face of the Rangers and Hurricanes who also have NHL teams of the same names, so I don't know what's so special about London's use of "Knights" that precludes LV from using the same name for their NHL franchise.
  20. I already boo him when I watch the Foxboro league videos.... and I'll boo him whenever I see him play here in ANA. Retrospectively, I'm actually booing the process that allowed him to take the stance that he is. At no point should a player who was drafted be able to choose which team he signs with until they earn UFA status by accruing actual NHL seasons played.
  21. ANA still boos Justin Schultz, every single time he touches the puck. I've been at games as recently as this past season, and it still happens. Even tho it occured 4 years ago ANA fans are still bitter he didn't choose them . The difference is ANA actually drafted him.. so ANA is more like NSH in this case than BUF, but those wounds still run deep in Ducks land.... and I wouldn't call those fans the most passionate bunch in the league either.
  22. Just had a panic attack considering this thread will die in less than a week.
