I'm enjoying the fact that they're competitive. They've been in every game. They've had better starts at home, and their home record is much better since Jan 1st. PK is 1st in the league and the PP doesn't stink. Lyon is playing well in goal. Taking steps in the right direction, the points will come if they continue to focus on the details. I wouldn't say "they're for real" yet, but I'm encouraged.

At this point, Lyon is your starter. Alternate Ellis and UPL as the backup. Let UPL work his way back in, give him a start here and there over the next few weeks, or until Lyon falters. Keep all 3 on the roster for now.

Ellis was unable to go tonight with a stiff back. UPL was the next option.

If you trade Power, you might as well begin the tear down.... Dahlin, Byram, Thompson, Tuch, Benson.... all on the table. Fire everybody and start over with competent management who can build a roster correctly. It sucks, but this team is nowhere near challenging for a playoff spot, nor is there a clear path to do so. This team is a joke. At their best they rely on all-world goaltending to keep them in games. At their worst, they're not even competitive at the NHL level. The fact they're a cap team with < $1m is space absolutely astounding.

I don't believe the pre-season games are MSG...so I'd expect that's not the score bug we'll see during the regular season.

Everyone needs to settle down. He's an alternate captain. Hopefully just something minor they don't want to risk aggravating at this point of the pre-season. He's a key piece moving forward for this franchise.
