USA training camp is in Columbus? Team NA camp Montreal and QBC? Thought Buffalo with Harbor Center would be a perfect fit for team NA. All-American prospects game is in Philly this year, Buffalo on the skids all of the sudden?
-
I don't believe it when they say they won't reduce ticket prices below that of STH price. There will be games where they can't fill the building unless they do so.... as a STH I would be rattled by this.
-
This doesn't seem legal. It's basically the franchise scalping their own tickets. It's a slap in the face to season ticket holders IMO.

No Risto, Gaudreau, Kucherov, Orlov, Trouba, or Nesterov without new contracts.

Do you think GMTM is done tinkering with the Sabres roster?
pi2000 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
GMTM likely has an eye on Fowler, but the asking price could still be too high. It's assumed ANA will re-sign Lindholm and Rakell, and they could likely do it just under the cap, but would prefer to move Fowler off the books as they would have almost 50% of their cap tied up on the blueline. They need forwards who can score. So it wouldn't come as a surprise if a big 3-way deal goes down between CGY-ANA-BUF. All 3 have high profile RFAs and are trying to get deals done, something needs to give. I expect GMTM to re-sign Ristolainen, but he could be dangling Kane as part of a deal for Fowler, or some larger deal. -
It's ludicrous. Many across the hockey world thought he would sign shortly after BUF acquired his rights. GMTM wanted him, it wasn't just a publicity stunt... gimme a break. Two weeks until world cup games, can't get here soon enough.

The world would be such a better place without religion.
-
Wow, OK. At $725k that puts them over the cap. Notable RFAs still unsigned... Risto Gaudreau Kucherov Nesterov Lindholm Trouba Nichushkin Orlov Rakell Girgensons Ceci

Which Current Buffalo Prospect Will Have a Better Career Than Vesey?
pi2000 replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
I like Bailey, but can he learn to finish. He has a better attitude than Vesey, which speaks well for his future. I also think Guhle has a better pro career when all is said and done. -
Not getting a PP QB.
-
Kulikov, he's better than most people here think.

I'm glad we slightly overpaid ROR. It was worth the overpay if for nothing else than to take the pressure of Eichel. You can't measure his value to the Sabres simply by simply by looking at a stat sheet.

Evander Kane arrested on misdemeanor charge for June nightclub incident
pi2000 replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
This thread just isn't doing it for me, maybe it's a Vesey thread hangover. Anywho, when is Kane's trial? Will it even go to trial? I'm betting not. Seems like too many conflicting reports to convict him of anything. Even if it doesnt go to trial can he be suspended by the league? -
Close to home, but not the Bruins, and hometown friends Hayes, Kreider. However, I don't see a very good pipeline of young talent in the organization, they had no 1st or 2nd round pick this year, and no 2nd round pick next year. Hockey's future has them ranked #27 in team prospect rankings (maybe Jimmy think he'll vault them all the way to #1?). But we already knew winning is secondary to Jimmy.. otherwise he would've signed with NSH.
-
Looking ahead at the NYR cap situation in 2018-19, Miller, Hayes and Vesey all will be RFAs with $40mil in cap hit for only 7 NHL roster players. Could be interesting in a few years.
-
The saddest part about all of this is that this thread is over. Don't be upset fellow Sabres fans, we dodged a bullet. Let Jack be Jack without having to answer for his buddy. I honestly wish Jimmy the best in the NHL, he seems like a smart kid, but he'll have a target on his chest during camp and throughout the season so it'll be a rough ride for a bit. And the sooner he figures out that the NHL doesn't revolve around him, the better.
-
So I guess he did buy that condo in NYC after all.
-
YES!!

As an 18 year old you need to declare yourself eligible for the draft, all 19 year olds are automatically eligible. In Vesey's case he went undrafted in 2011 as an 18 year old, I don't know if he declared himself eligible that draft year, I'm assuming he did. He was automatically eligible in 2012 because he's turned 19 by Sept 15th 2012. So maybe he's f'ing with the NHL out of spite for going undrafted in 2011.... wouldn't put it past him.
-
I used to think this, but the more I think about it, the more I like the current system. I mean, we have that rule to thank for this thread, so I say keep it the same :) That, and there's not very many Schultz/Vesey douchebags who think they're better than the NHL, so this doesn't happen too often as it is.
-
Tells you what's important to him, what his values are. His dream isn't to play in the NHL or win Cups, it's to get coddled by some franchise willing to bow down to his every demand.
-
Also crazy to think that if BUF beat ARI on 3/26/15, Eichel is a Coyote.

"Ask not what you can do for your team. Ask what your team can do for you." - Jimmy Vesey

Is anybody really surprised by this? I'm expecting his agent to say he's signing with team X, then at the last minute precious Jimmy boy changes his mind and goes with team Y. Imagine what he'll do if that team tries to send him down to the AHL? He might quit hockey.
