  1. I'm on board with 1, 2 and 3. I see Kane going into a tailspin, missing meetings, late for practice, suspended by the team, eventually dealt for peanuts. Bishop is a top-5 goalie in the league, he'll flourish wherever he ends up, which I predict is Dallas... maybe not until the dealine tho. My bold predictions (it has to be in bold right?)... McDavid leads the league in scoring desipte missing +15 games to injury. Shea Weber has a career year in MTL, Subban struggles in NSH. The Sedin twins retire before the end of the season as VAN lands in 30th place. Jimmy Vesey buys a season ticket behind the NYR bench for his Dad so he can record Jimmy's ice time with a stopwatch, banging on the glass and showing the watch to Alain Vigneault every 10 minutes (I had a parent do this to me when I coached with the Jr Kings).
  2. Why not both? I'll prolly watch the hockey game live, and dvr the american football game so I can save 4hrs of my life.
  3. Same time as NFL opener... thanks Bettman.
  4. Risto for Gaudreau has been tossed around by media pundits... source: me.
  5. When are we going back to this uniform? Best in hockey IMO.
  6. It's an interesting topic, but way to early IMO to forecast who may be on the outside looking in come the expansion draft. Much is riding on this season for Moulson, Kane, Ennis and Girgensons.... even Lehner to a degree.
  7. Trade bait.
  8. faulty CMOS battery?
  9. I guarantee after some practice time together and a few exhibition games, they'll all be singing a different tune. They'll get familiar with their teammates, build some chemistry and gain the confidence that they can win this thing. I can see some of these games getting heated. Haha, it's kind of a shame he didn't sign with Boston or NJ and then have to come to Buffalo to play in our prospects tournament. I'll bet that weighed into his decision, he's that mentally fragile.
  10. ...and Bogosian is not a question mark? Who are these so called "experts"?
  11. I don't get all the apathy towards this tournament. I, for one, am counting down the days. Sure, it's a new concept, but these are competitive individuals, the games will be competitive and I expect the intensity to ramp up as we close in on the medal rounds.
  12. I laughed out loud at this, thanks for starting my day with a chuckle.
  13. I wouldn't. Anytime a young player gets to play on an all-star team is a great learning opportunity.
  14. I don't see how he plays in the World Cup without a contract. He skipped the World Championships for the same reason.
  15. Vesey on the 5th line for the Traverse City prospects tournament.... hahahaha... what a loser!
  16. Haha, sounds like he wants to make him regret his decision. Anyway, nice to hear him talk about being in the playoff hunt.
  17. The flat brimmed hat is in style everywhere except the south and mid-west and Buffalo. It's all flat brims on the left coast here, my kids scream if I even put touch the brims of their hats. I've even seen some curved up the other way. That said, the celtic cross is just plain ghetto... unless he recently joined the 18th Street gang and hasn't told anyone yet.
  18. Agreed. His only criteria was somewhere close to home with a friend. If he wanted to win now... NSH. If he wanted future team success with a budding superstar... BUF. He lied to Poile, and he lied to the press about what he was looking for in a team.
  19. I read that he picked #26 with the Rags as that's his birthday because well I guess he's earned that right by doing absolutely nothing except pontificate on his entitlements. Perhaps that was the deciding factor when you consider Rip promised him #73.
  20. This will be Ullmark's 4th season as a pro. He's Buffalo's best option if Lehner pulls up lame again, and he played well last season. Assuming he continues his upward trend, I expect him to be better in this his 4th pro season. Petersen won't be ready for 2 more years at the earliest.
  21. thanks! That's a bummer. Lehner would have an advantage as his legit big enough to wear XL streamlined gear (pants, chest) vs other thinner guys like Miller who simply aren't big enough.
  22. Anybody know if they're implementing the smaller goalie gear for the World Cup? I haven't heard much about it..
  23. Ullmark? I can see Peterson signing and playing the season out in Rochester once ND's season comes to a close, he won't be NHL ready right out of the gate. Should Lehner be unable to stay healthy I'd expect Ullmark to take over the reigns as starter. He could legit be the long term #1 tendy even before Thanksgiving.
  24. Miller had a few elite seasons. Other than that he was statistically an average goaltender. I like Lehner's attitude and approach, if he can stay healthy I think he still has plenty of room to grow and improve. If he can't stay healthy, well, this season could be another long one.
