Brings back memories of driving the s-curves on Delaware Ave in the middle of winter in my honda civic.

I don't care if he goes out and has fun, hangs out with whoever. What he does need to do is keep that part of his life private and not post it all over social media, where he's hanging out and with who, etc... I'm sure there are very successful athletes who enjoy those same things he does without letting it derail their careers. That said, if he is in fact using coke or some other party drugs, that needs to stop. I know a bunch of guys like him who say and do all the right things when sover, but when high on coke they turn into completely different people... , if you will. See, cocaine gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence, that you own the world and everything is at your fingertips. You see a girl you find attractive and you have no inhibition to go chat her up.. only some guys take it too far and become aggressive... could that explain Evander's aggressive approach to women? I find it hard to believe he's just like that by nature, and that's who he is. He doesn't have enough of a history of those types of issues to suggest it's a personality trait.

I brought this up back in Jan when he was suspended for missing practice.... He seems to be hanging out with the wrong type of characters. I like that he hasn't posted to instagram or twitter for almost 3 months now. Maybe he's finally figuring it out, we can only hope.

I'm having a hard time imagining what MMA training would look like. Stretching and kicking? Chasing chickens around your yard? You still need to maintain strength and I don't see how you achieve that without some form of resistance training.

Last season... GAA - 1st - 2.06 SV% - 2nd - .926 Wins - 4th - 35 Shutouts - 3rd - 6 Career 2.29 GAA and .920 SV% in 230 games For comparision, Hasek has a career 2.20 GAA and .922 SV%. I don't see any evidence to suggest that Bishop is overrated, although it will be interesting to see how his numbers change if/when the NHL enforces new goalie equipment standards.

How good Lehner can be if he can stay healthy. Ennis back to full gas. Guys like McCabe, Guhle, Bailey, Reinhart, Risto, taking that next step. It's critical that these guys keep developing.

Jesus Christ.... Eichel is still only 19. He has one season under his belt, this is not the finished product by any means. It was his first competitive game in 5 months, give the kid a break. I, for one, liked the way he used his body out there. He was engaged and using his body to bump guys off the puck and create space for himself. Assuming he put on some muscle mass, that's what I want to see him do more of this tournament. He's a big human, the more he uses that to his advantage, the better it will serve him in the long run.

Maybe that was true with standard def, but with HD and soon UHD broadcasts, any visibility issues will be moot.

Maatta wins it OT for FIN beating Enroth high glove on the rush. Risto lead all skaters with over 26min of ice time. Enroth allows 3 goals on 13 shots, yikes.

2-2 heading to OT. Enroth let in a sloppy goal late which tied the game. 5min 3v3, then shootout. A few big hits and some scrums after the whistle... a harder fought game than I would've guessed.

When this team is a legit contender I want them to look right because if things go as planned and they make a Finals or even win a Cup, I want those memories to include aesthetically pleasing uniforms. Currently watching FIN/SWE play in the WCOH. I like the Adidas jersey cut. They appear to be cut closer to the armpit, so there's not a flap hanging there under the arm. However, the whites (FIN) are a bit too transparent. They also have the 3 Adidas stripes running down each side, which looks OK.... maybe it's just branding for this tournament, those likely won't make it to the NHL next season.

Yeah Europe sucks, but I think experience wins out in the first exhibition game, I expect NA to get better and better as this thing wears on.

Any predictions for the NA/Europe game tomorrow? I'll go out on a limb and say 7-5 Team Europe.

The player didn't react at all to it, didn't even once look over at his Dad. We all just ignored him after the first time he did it and had a talk with him after the game, which got heated btw, but that's what coaches have to deal with these days. Every parent out here thinks their kid is the next Gretzky and we (the coaches) are holding them back if they're not double shifted. Most parents out here (southern California) don't understand how hockey works, with ice time, etc. This was 9-10 year olds, which makes it even more ridiculous if you think about it.
