First it's still the preseason and a rookie QB can make the OLine look a lot worst than it already is by not making the correct reads. Didn't see enough of the 1Q to really make a good judgement but with most rookies he's going to have his moments where he looks great and when he makes the entire offense look atrocious. Sounds like he had the latter yesterday.

I don't think I've ever given an opinion on a online magazine before but I agree with the 2 above posters, it has been more than I expected when I signed up. It's just not the Bills-Sabres articles but just about every major team in Sports and it's 2nd to no-one in Sabres info and articles. I'm also a huge Houston Astros fan and it's been great there also.

Sad story, life can be so precarious, someone you think is pretty strange or the opposite has everything going their way and some unexpected event happens and the strange becomes very successful and those who seemingly have it made, fall so far. You just never know and it makes you appreciate your blessings the older you become.

Mr. Softee?? Are they still around, I used to love that truck with the jingle?

Now that's what I'm talking about OMG a vegan is among us Is that the same owner as the one in the 1st Ward on South Park and Hamburg

51 min (31.4 miles) via I-69 according to google from the house. Way too far unless I'm in the area. I'm wondering if you're thinking of 1960 instead of 1940, but I don't see anything but the Sugarland restaurant.

I wonder if the Sabres are tinkering with the idea of moving him back to Center? If so are they trying to come to some agreement on how he should be paid at that position as opposed to a winger?? They now have a multitude of players who can play both spots and if he's in at Center do they move all the vets to surround Sam and Casey?? I can see JBotts wanting Sam to still prove not only on how he'll play but where and Sam's side of the story being quit moving me around and play and pay me. The key is what do JBotts and Phil really think of Sam and his play. -
Too much cheese??? WUT?? There's no such animal in my book as TOO MUCH CHEESE on a pizza. If you're being sarcastic..... I apologize but too much cheese??? I just can't wrap my head around someone who says too much cheese in a pizza post. I know you're not the only one complaining about too much cheese on a pizza so please do not tell my pizza maker that they are putting too much cheese on a pizza.

Little Caesar's is terrible also but no more so than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn, Papa John's or any of that ilk, but it is the cheapest by far and where I go for a cheap fix when needed.

Being an ex-pat myself that was raised on Bocce Pizza on Clinton avenue (the original place I believe) Buffalo Pizza blows away NY city and every other pizza haven I've been to. When I do go to Buffalo which is all too infrequently lately, getting a pizza is a must do item. Nothing in Houston touches a neighborhood pizza place in Buffalo. There's a NY City style pizza place not that far from the house here that's respectable but I still prefer Buffalo style and nobody can touch the pepperoni either.

He's been confused since he stayed up for 48 straight hours reading Randall's post ? By the way Randall, whether I agree, disagree with anything in that post, you are to be commended for the time and energy you put in to make this site better.... Bravo.

I think St. Louis' is only protected top 10 isn't it??

I normally hate pay walls also but this one is worth the price @Doohickie, a lot of really good stuff and not just Sabre/Bills related. I signed up for the Buffalo Star also and that was a waste of money, they've been a real downer. If The Athletic was poor also, that would have been my last time paying for stuff but I find my self reading articles almost 4-5 days a week. Vogl, Yerdon, Baker and Stimson have put out some great stuff on the Sabres too.
-
Actually I'm expecting a little more from both and depending on the 3rd guy on that 3rd line, maybe a 100 point line which will be about 90 points more than we received from our 3rd line last year.

I never can understand why people get caught up in this stuff and I'm talking about guys like Jones and Koresh in Waco. -

Just saw Ant Man and the Wasp, a fun movie which is what I prefer in these Marvel movies. Paul Rudd does another nice job as Ant Man. There are 2 after credit sequences, don't waste your time on the 2nd. -
I'm a big fan of the Skinner trade but I'll reserve a grade on it until he re-signs with the team. Different player than Kane but a better team mate and scorer. I always liked Kane's energy but he wasn't the sharpest blade in the tool shed either. As for Skinner signing a new contract, I do believe unless something catastrophic happens, the 2 sides will come to some agreement. The ROR trade I believe is going to be the surprise big winner for the team. We gave up a 2nd line Center that for whatever his skill level was never elevated the team to greater heights. In return we received an entire NHL level 3rd line in Berg-Sobo and Thompson. I truly think Casey made ROR expendable and the trio returned everyone will be happy with when we see them play. Plus we received another 1st round pick. This trade will pay immediate dividends and has the potential to being a long term gain to. I don't think we'll miss ROR for long.

I was for Housley getting hired originally but I'm in the show me something this year or go away team. On paper this is the best team we've had in the last 4 seasons. If Disco Dan could basically average (2) 80 point seasons in his tenure and get tar n' feathered, Phil better have this team in the 90 point range or be gone. Reasons: Jack, Rasmus and Samson aren't kids anymore, Casey and Dahlin appear to be the real deal, the 3rd line of Blues is the best 3rd line we've had in years just to start with. I'll give him the first month to bring the team along but after that I'm not only expecting much better play but results too.
-
He just turned 26, it will be a long term deal.
-
Be careful the obnoxious policeman is out there somewhere, although I agree with you in context.
-
I think it would be naive to believe they've not already had some discussions on what it would take to resign him. With that in mind, it wouldn't surprise me to see an extension done prior to the season beginning. I just don't see them making this deal and then flipping him at the deadline.
-
I find it hard to believe that they don't have a deal with him already. If he waived his NMC, that makes me believe it won't be long before they announce something. Pu is an up and comer but they really didn't give up much as long as he's not a rental. If I read right he's 6th in 5v5 goals in the last few years and there's some big names in that mix. Berglund and Sobotka are looking better and better as the 3rd and 4th line centers.
