The team concept is not much different than your work environment The new guy comes in, tie is in place, shirt is ironed, jacket is custom fitted but in reality he hasn't done squat yet The older employee hasn't been the best or worst guy but he's been thru the bankruptcy issues and he's promised to turn a leaf Do you fire the older employee or give him one last chance to prove himself with a new and better crew?? That's the culture of the NHL in a nutshell, you may not like it but if you were the older employee do you want one more chance to prove yourself?? It's not that the boss is an idiot, it's not that the boss only likes older employees, it may just be the boss is trying to be fair and make a good decision on this guy for the good of his team and his employee.

I guess the reason might be for #22, is a 2nd faceoff man on that line and may give Casey more winger responsibilities than at center. That's the best I can come up with for now, hope it works.

Thoughts on the game: Risto played his best game yesterday, someone mentioned he just flings the pucks out of the zone, if I'm not mistaken they mentioned he completed 93% of his passes thru the 1st 2 periods. He's also averaging just under 26 minutes a game so far. Reinhart had the highest TOI for forwards yesterday, 2nd the game before. I think he's getting rewarded for his fine play I like Skinner, hustles, forechecks, great hands, I don't know what the Hurricanes coach had against this guy McCabe is playing his best hockey this year a big turnaround from last year A happy locker room afterward, positive thoughts especially Scandella, I think losing ROR and Lehner may have been addition by subtraction It's early but St. Louis has 5 goals for 10 goals against. Could theirs be our best 2019 draft choice Puck bounces going our way so far, I hope it continues, does Hutton's presence have the opposition gripping their sticks a bit too tight compared to last year??

I would also like to point out who may be the unsung hero and good luck charm of this early season winning streak is the GDT starter who is now 2-0 in back to back GDTs even with some posters not liking his titles or logo's. Well if you're going to quote Eleven, he also wanted the TV and Radio coverage included as well as GDT, so I added that and the Doo and others complained about the logo, so I changed that. Tough crowd, tough crowd and if @WildCard would get off his lazy butt and start doing the GDTs again ??, I wouldn't be getting all these complaints. Maybe if the Mods can add a Biotch Club, all you biotches can congregate there ?☠️? Technically the last full day of them having a winning record was 1-24-13, tough crowd, tough crowd again.

The last time we had a winning record was 1-24-2013. We were 2-0 to start the season then lost the next 4 games. We haven't had a winning record since. I believe we are at 375 games and counting.

Sir you have had very good posts before but this is pure GOLD and it needed to be said. There were positives in that game although reading this GDT you won't find much. It was one game, one game out of 82. If I've soured on anyone from that locker room it's Phil H. Not only putting Eichel's line on Bergeron's but for a team that played like it was their first game together (and it was their 1st real game together), Phil starts blowing up the lines to make them even more ragged. WTF was he thinking, the game was lost already just leave the lines alone and let them bond a bit. If he was going to blow things up why didn't he have this figured out during practice and the preseason games. I don't think he's capable of putting this team on solid footing. Unless they turn things around pretty quickly I'm falling into the fire him mode before he totally loses the team.
