This is the right decision. It is painful to watch a #8 pick waste his time in the NHL. There should not be a timeline to come back. It should be based on merit, go to Rochester, get some confidence and become the best player on that team. I hope he is willing to put in the work. I believe he can maintain his pace for the season and hit 100 points. I don’t think he can sustain this pace of 27 pts in his last 15 games.

He will have to play 76+ games to do it in my opinion. He will cool off, but his start means a slightly better than a point per game pace gets him there.
