  1. I’m not a techie but go for it Ralph. Does player A skate 20mph without the puck but only15 mph while stickhandling? Average distance covered per shift. Is Risto more effective before 20 minutes and then has a drop off? How close to his man are players on defensive coverage? Smarter people than me can dream up uses and crunch the numbers into something meaningful. I just don’t need to see those numbers and manipulate them myself.
  2. Yeah, he didn't stumble. He was out far and didn't get the push to cover the open net until Carlo was shooting. He probably didn't think the rebound was going to pinball that hard. I think Bergeron made a smart play with that shot.
  3. Smart play by Bergeron, shooting low to get a rebound. Binnington stumbled getting over.
  4. Yeah, true. The Islanders got him first but couldn’t sign him. Panzer commander was well compensated for his output.
  5. Probably enough backroom tampering to know he will sign there. I would like to see him pull a Vesey and sign elsewhere.
  6. Just watched an interview with Hughes, Turcotte, Byram, Cozens and Dach on TSN. Cozens’ mother is a lawyer while his father is a judge, hopefully he inherited a high IQ and a strong work ethic. If the Sabres take him, I will not be upset. I like him more than Dach and I find the Yukon angle to be a ‘cool’ story. This same group will be on coach’s corner during the first intermission. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/top-nhl-prospects-bonding-over-nhl-draft-experience~1698129
  7. Ralph’s been busy schmoozing with Jack and Sam in Europe and talking to Skinner. I’m sure he’s given it some thought.
  8. I'm being a dinosaur but I hope it isn't Caufield. He is so tiny, Gionta would look huge next to him. Turcotte, Cozens, Byram and Boldy are who I hope the Sabres get. I think Boldy may be the only one available at 7.
  9. Yeah, we see data from the physical testing but mum's the word on the interviews. Those interviews could cause a drop of a few spots.
  10. Sam is getting some positive vibes of winning hockey games. That may end as early as today but he is taking away some positives. His game may not translate well to the big ice. No way Willy Nylander is light years ahead of Sam in the NHL.
  11. Good information. However, they don't list any weaknesses in the prospects, only accentuating the positive. I like Boldy then Cozens. Byram is a stud D and I think he will be gone by #7. Leading the WHL in playoff scoring as a 17 year old D is impressive.
  12. Lou should offer sheet Marner enough to make Dubas poop his pants.
  13. Thank goodness there's a salary cap or the Rangers would be trying to get the best player at every position and make a team out of them. The Leafs would throw crazy money at every guy that wore their pyjamas growing up,.
  14. I liked how Sam brought up the idea of democracy and they all laughed at him. They later make a move towards it by adopting a vote of Lords process. There are quite a few feel good moments that point towards a brighter future for Westeros, which we won't see.
  15. Ghost is happy with this ending.
  16. I thought Kane was made for playoff hockey but his 2G 8Pts in 18 games is pretty underwhelming. His hockey IQ is not as high as a lot of guys who are doing well and I believe he plays hard all season long so he doesn't have that "extra gear" for the playoffs. He still takes low percentage shots and tries zone entries alone along the boards. His high point was fighting Reaves in round 1 and holding his own. I am still pulling for the Sharks all the way, for Thornton, Burns, Couture and Karlsson to win one.
  17. I wanted Tippett, he seemed like a safe bet. This is a swing for the fences and the more I get to know about RK the more I am impressed. He is passionate about coaching and if he follows through on surrounding himself with people who are better than him at different aspects of the game, we may see a lot of improvement. I will root for these guys no matter what, it just feels better than yesterday with a fresh infusion of optimism.
  18. He probably knows his beer as well, having spent many years near Oktoberfest HQ.
  19. Brad Richards played in the Q for Rimouski.
  20. She did say she was going to kill the queen, I assumed it was Cersei. They didn't give her a white horse for nothing.
  21. He was mentioned as a candidate before Phil was hired. Maybe he wants back in the NHL after leaving Southampton a couple of months before his contract expires. Interesting guy, I didn’t consider him because he was out of coaching for a few years.
  22. I predict Jamie gets killed on his solo mission. I'm not sure who does it, but Arya takes his face and gets to Cersei and kills her. Arya says she is not going back to Winterfell so maybe the Mountain takes her down and the Hound avenges her. I don't know who gets the throne but I'll guess it is John.
  23. That's what I liked about Babcock, he took a boatload of talent to the Olympics and the World Cup and got them to buy into the program for the greater good. It's probably easier in a short tournament for high stakes, but a Norris Trophy winner like PK Subban being the 7th D would probably balk at 82 games of that role. Tippett is my first choice but I would not be upset if it was Gronberg. Keefe is third in my books because I've seen these next "greats" fail at the next level.
  24. Dragons seem to have cat like eyes in this series.
  25. Have the dragon fly at night and burn Euron's fleet. They'll have minimal defense and no visibility to shoot the large crossbows.
