Evander Kane - Jack Eichel - Samson Reinhart - That is the line for me to watch tonight! Wow! I didn't expect Kaner back for another week! Boy I'm stoked. Bogosian and Kane back in the last two games. Now we can get going! Lets go Sabres!- 548 replies

Well, we own the Sharks for some odd reason. But, the teams have interesting contrasts. I love watching the Sharks play when it is against a team I follow. They're coached well, but that being said: GO BUFFALO! Four games in a row! -
Even after that is all I'm saying. I just haven't been impressed with Moulson at all this season. He's playing up to his ability and the chances have been there. I'm being greedy. :D

Can we just go back in time and draft Teravainen instead of Grigorenko? :D Or Saad for that matter lmao.

I do as well. Does it seem like maybe he had more free reign last year. I just sense there will be an uptick sooner than later. He's not a 2 point player in 16 games obviously.
-
I can agree with this sentiment, but really an upgrade is needed over Gionta, McGinn and a few others in the top six. This easily is rectified once Kaner gets back. However even then I would feel that they could use an uptick. Simmonds is a very refined player in his zone and has the same attributes as Kane and O'Reilly. He'd be an amazing fit. Other than that, I would love to go after Petrovic, or one of the defensemen in Florida. Even a Matheson type in a prospect trade. If he was available.

This is a little late, but my girlfriend for the third straight week wants to watch The Notebook. My brain cannot handle anymore cliched "love stories".

Not to mention it took them forever to decide on less than 1/2 a foot crossing the line. It was a complete waste of time. Good on Galante, but really this rule is like the speeding up rules in baseball. Just ruddy pointless.

Schenn is in the last year of his deal so moving him to a team who needs an expiring defensemen to fill in an injury will make sense. He probably fetches a fourth. The problem in Lecavalier and MacDonald is the years more than the dollars to me. I wouldn't want to swallow either to get an elite offensive player. Simmonds, Couturier, Giroux shouldn't be available as with Voracek are in their primes. I would love to get any of them. Claude would cost too much valuable talent.

To give Schaller a game? Otherwise it's a puzzling move. Could it have been maintenance related. Starting Legwand on a wing is asinine. I absolutely enjoyed the Larsson-Girgensons-Reinhart line. Whenever a combo of Larsson and Reinhart are on the ice together, the line just works hard. I would prefer to see Larsson with Eichel and Ennis. That could be fun. I was going to complain about Gionta on the top line, but he scored so I guess I will let that slide. Franson played poised carrying the puck into the zone. The wall work was impeccable! Ullmark made the saves he had too. I feel so bad for Lehner, because he might be losing his grip on the number one roll. Johnson could see himself waived. There's no reason to send Linus down anytime soon.

Gionta finally does something. Really impressed with the wall work of the Sabres. Reinhart pushed hard along with Larsson. Poor Zemgus isn't getting anywhere.

That huge hit by Eichel on Jagr. HAHA. Then the penalty at mid-ice. Good on you Eichel going after one of the all time greats. I LOVE IT! It was a stupid penalty.

Legwand starting over Des, ugh!

This game should be a lot of fun. I wouldn't turn on the Bills game for anything. Even if they were trailing New England by 3 on the 40 with 50 seconds to go. The NFL lost it's flare for me 10 years ago. They might as well play two hand touch.

After 15 games, who is the most surprising Sabre?
Rasmus_ replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Aud Club
Deslauriers has been the most consistent surprise, but he's been on an upward trend since last season. He has shown poise to stick to his game and keep things simple when most over extend. It's baffling to me that near on a year and a half ago he was stuck in Manchester as a D. I've been as big a fan of his as anyone in the last season plus. I would call Foligno a close second. McCabe always had the talent to be what he's showing, but never given the break. Good on him. -
So it looks like Eric Gelinas is being shopped by NJD. Not sure what we match with them on, but he's a pretty talented 24 year old with a LH shot. He showed a lot two seasons and not so much the last season and a half. He might be interesting to keep an eye on.

First off sorry about Josie, that's a tough beat. The Sabres had me jumping at certain points. The 6 on 5 at the end had me standing up screaming at the TV. Risto finishing it off was pretty much how I've felt all season. Hands up and stoked. O'Reilly needs to get back to playing with Ennis or someone who can match his skill. I'm sorry Gionta, but you're a third line or lower player now IMO. As the season has gone on from puck drop to whistle Eichel has only gotten better. I won't compare him to #66 so early on but he looks a lot like Vinny meets Yzerman early in his career. I tried to think about it a bit more, because his speed is so thundering, but this was a close combo of size, skill, humility and skating. As usual I am late to the party. -
Fowler is an interesting player. He has great games and games where he just looks lost in translation. He's only 23, and would definitely be a boon for the team to acquire. He's locked in at a manageable cap hit as well. I would make the call. It probably costs a 1st round pick or something very high end to get him away from the West coast.

Reinhart: Fewer minutes in NHL or more minutes in AHL?
Rasmus_ replied to pi2000's topic in The Aud Club
Reinhart has played light years better than the trial nine game period last year. That has a lot to do with a stability of upper level centermen and Bylsma's more direct skill/pressing game. He looks like he belongs in the top forward group for sure. Whether this means he's a RW long term or for the time being is what should be deciding. -
A very good tight game against another quality opponent. Ristolainen is our #1 defensemen. We just need someone to be his ace in the hole.
