  1. Wb LGR, that was good stuff. LOL!
  2. He's a really solid player. Giving him 5-6 years at 6.whatever seems a bit of a stretch from what they should be doing. But, hey that's fine. Screw the Bruins.
  3. Bye Bye Chad Johnson!
  4. Hmmm, interesting. I still see it a lost season for Montreal. But, he has to be pissed.
  5. He'd be an upgrade over: Cola and Weber.
  6. Larsson and a 2nd. Probably too rich, but another young LHD that I like.
  7. I forgot about Carlson's! Wow, now that's a great comparison.
  8. Bossy and Messier for sure. I would put his prime years above Selanne, but that's a fair argument.
  9. With LA striking out on Ladd, does anyone think that McGinn could get a 2nd and Kempe? I love Kempe's game and think he'd be a great addition. Probably a "no", but something to consider.
  10. All 30 teams have to approve his return to the NHL. There will be at least one "no". I highly doubt he returns.
  11. If Ristolainen signs for 4.5 over 6 or 7, I think we should personally all donate a dollar to that for a signing bonus. That would be so under the general price for his type of ability.
  12. Makes sense, as much as I'd like to stay up, I am on call all weekend. Starting at 12AM. BLEH.
  13. There's still a lot of murkiness to this deadline. Is Ladd/Eriksson for sure going to be traded. Aside from Boedker who for sure will be traded who is at the near top. I would say McGinn fits in just a little below Boedker to be fair.
  14. Go Panthers?
  15. He can be the table they put the Cup down on? I say he has little to no chance of making much of an impact.
  16. Ugh, no...we don't need Weber on a new contract. Let him go!
  17. I'm holding out for a 2nd and a B prospect.
  18. I'm sorry, though I agree on Moulson, Ennis isn't crap. He's just had a tough year adjusting and got a hit to the back of the head that he hasn't cleared yet. To say that Weber is more valuable than Foligno a lone is a laugh.
  19. To me this is worth more than what I thought he'd get. While it would have been nicer in this draft class, that's fine. I thought a fifth would honestly be the price. There's zero difference to me between he and Colaiacovo. Outside of the fact he's been a Sabres lifer. Good for him, I hope he can get to the Cup.
  20. Seeing the Leafs make deals for useless pieces for actual value makes my blood boil. Lets go Timmy!
  21. I'm ready to move on. We've played better without him IMO. He also hasn't had a great fit with O'Reilly or Jack.
  22. Disagree with you completely on McGinn. Yes, he has been useful and a great fit for the top six, but really he's a third line talent. The farm system is a little dry to barren. They have some interesting players such as Bailey, Guhle, Ullmark, Borgen, Baptiste etc, but the main blue chippers are full season Sabres. If you can get a second pick for a player who has been more than a throw in with the O'Reilly deal you make that. Otherwise it's bad business. Ennis when he was healthy didn't mesh that well in limited sample sizes on either line. If you can get tangible value, I'd welcome a change. Moulson is a: Needs to go talent. The rest I agree with you on.
  23. Clearly not, Granlund is barely an NHL player. He's also scrawny and undersized. I wouldn't call Shinkaruk a sure thing, but he has more potential for sure. Benning didn't draft him, so another guy out the door they didn't develop. He might lose his job sooner than later. I actually liked/defended the Sutter deal, but with his injuries all season that looks like a bust.
  24. He's open and honest that he'll get what he can in the marketplace for pending free agents. The interesting area will be: Moulson, Ennis, etc and possibly if he moves a pending RFA.
