  1. It seemed like everything they worked hard on went to bed at the 25-33 mark of the game. The PK definitely didn't help things and Johnson just fell to ashes. He's really not great. Ullmark come in and steal the job until Lehner comes back.
  2. Honestly I'd take Nolan everyday and twice on Sunday before I'd hire that idiot. Let's take a transition speed team and make them a physical team that blocks pucks. Because Daniel and Henrik Sedin scream physical play. :D
  3. Tortorella has a new gig and automatically he's the worst coach in the NHL at once. His style hasn't been relevant since 2004-05. Sorry Sir, you suck.
  4. Love this response! Haha!
  5. Now this is a good test to see how the team is progressing. They've played well in portions against an elite team in Tampa Bay. However, facing Price ...now that's the test! Looking forward to watch Eichel and O'Reilly.
  6. Honestly, what a load of rubbish. There hasn't even been 10 games into the season. Albeit, he has one goal and not any other point totals to write home about. It was but a game or two ago that Sidney Crosby had his first. Just as an exceeding example. Getzlaf and Perry aren't exactly lighting the world on fire as well. This is just a trash article with baseless analysis. Kane has played about as well away from the puck as you can on the PK and while his shots haven't gone in everything I've watched has been exciting.
  7. Really liking the play of McCabe with Pysyk. Now if there was a little more showing on the stat line that would be great. Otherwise they look solid. Bogosian coming back soon will make this team that much better!
  8. One would assume that means Ullmark is making a trip up to Buffalo, unless something more mysterious is in the works.
  9. That was awesome! The look on the Wild players face is priceless!
  10. Lol, oh the chuckles! The pace is not even close, obviously. But, the personnel are also unanimously better. It's like jumping from the AHL to the NHL it's a completely different structure, roster, and coaching staff. Your analogy is perfect!
  11. Well written. To me they were playing East/West as well as they were North/South. The creativity was evident. Barkov with the dish right infront of Johnson was spot on!
  12. With regards to Ullmark, I feel that the Sabres are best suited to let him play meaningful minutes and get his game back up to par. He's been very impressive so far in the AHL, but we have been teased before. It's the contrary argument that I've been making for Sam Reinhart, but I feel with goalies, they especially off of a drastic surgery should just be given time to consistently get reps. For the time being Lieuwen and Ocho can handle the load.
  13. It is a shame about a player like Franzen experiencing this situation again. He's at an age where he's won a cup and while ending your career via injury is a terrible injustice on your career, you do need to weigh that versus your ability for future health.
  14. Jagr at 43 is still a beast. I was purely in awe! It helps when you play with good young talent in Barkov and Huberdeau. They fell behind and then came back. It's alright.
  15. Hiller is who I want if the price is right.
  16. +1, he's still amazing, but he's at the end of his illustrious career. Give him some credit. Yeah the Yikel thing is annoying, but he's still one of the best!
  17. Hey look its Hulk-a-racist, but I had to post it!
  18. It would take a hefty overpay. I don't see him as a piece they'd want to move just because. Krug, Pastrnak and Bergeron are pretty much non-starters I would think.
  19. That's completely fine, I don't really get into arguments about bottom pair defensemen they are really hodgepodge to be honest. So you're right, it was a bit of a cop out. He shouldn't be above a 7th defensemen on a quality d-core. Colaiacovo is terrible.
  20. You must have beer goggles on. Weber does what he does, I don't love him as a player, but he sticks to what he knows. Franson hasn't looked to sharp and honestly, I think that has to do with offseason conditioning. Not going until the last week of August without a contract can hamper you mentally. Colaiacovo has been terrible for as long as I can remember.
  21. For the love of god, get rid of Colaiacovo! - Edit - I do agree with you.
  22. Is he really playing any worse than Moulson. I mean if we're splitting hairs and while Moulson is a season veteran and quality human being, he's beyond slow in the teams structure and pace. How many times has he fallen. I'm a huge Reinhart fan. He really has no reason to go down to Rochester. He's better suited to play than McGinn.
  23. I will be watching the entire game. Let's see if Girgensons can spark O'Reilly. This should be a scrappy affair. Get it in on Bobrovsky early with pressure and he's been prone to bad starts. While I have questions with Moulson, and the defense, this roster is better than what they showed against a superior team in Tampa Bay.
  24. Lieuwen is a solid call up for a back up. He's very "Chad Johnsonesque" to me. Ullmark definitely needs the time to work his way back. He could easily be competing in the NHL next season as our back up/fighting for 1B role. I've always liked him.
  25. Totally agree with you, there is depth on defense and skilled wingers. I would count Bailey, Possler, Baptiste as at best 3rd line type talents.
