  1. I'm not sure why they would want McCabe, they have Montour and the other defensemen that's slipping my mind. Would assume it be more cognoscente for them to acquire younger talent, like Bailey. The more I watched Bailey the more I see him easily playing on the opposite side of Foligno and Larsson and excelling.
  2. Shrugs, there will be better options than Legs for a fourth liner IMO.
  3. I totally agree. I question his ability to be more than a #3 defensemen.
  4. True, that's fine. I'm moving more towards liking Nylander, he just needs to get some size, which is attainable. As with someone like Jost, Keller. I'm moving off needing a D for sure, but w/e, I still love Chychrun.
  5. Cough...Jacob Chychrun, or Olli Juolevi or Sergachev.
  6. Also, its pure speculation from the Boston media. Until Vesey says something directly or Fitch his agent comes out and vehemently says that he's going to open market, it's in Vesey's court. He will have options from any team that has a shot, or he can sign in Buffalo. Murray is a taking chances type of guy, and he feels he's the exact fit in our top six. I love the move, and the juevos of our GM. So hats off to him. I will forever be grateful for LaFontaine bringing him in. You don't get ahead without going for it. That's how you do things. To become a Stan Bowman you have to elevate yourself in the standings by believing in your ability and going out to get what you feel is right. Whether it's speed, heavy, finesse/skill or w/e other build. LA, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit have all been built by strong leadership at the top trickling down.
  7. Me either, to be frank. Vesey, at 6'3", who can skate and work in the dirty corners who also, feasts in both ends of the zone. Just look at Kane, O'Reilly, Fasching, and so on. But, skill is skill so you debate it.
  8. Ask again, if Vesey signs.
  9. I love when every other fan base is bashing the chances that Vesey signs in Buffalo, because well, it's Buffalo. He's going to go to a winning environment. Which is a load of b###s##t. If you ask me, if there wasn't a legitimate shot, we'd not be trading for him.
  10. If it's Ristolainen, you hang up without remorse. If it's #8 and a piece, sure.
  11. Not sure Ink, why trading up for Jesse Puljujarvi would be a bad thing is beyond me.
  12. Now, if we can either take the D in the draft or trade up for Puljujarvi! God I am pumped! I'm excited to listen to talk radio in the morning.
  13. LG, don't give me a dream come true. Holy god, mother of christ, make that happen. I don't need to think about Pujuljarvi on top of it. I will drive to Buffalo just to laugh at the Laff's fans if we can have Vesey and Jesse on draft night.
  14. This is great, it gives him security and knows he's important. I'm glad to have Nic back!
  15. This is amazing, went out for dinner and turned my cell phone off and came back to this news! #YES! Vesey to Buffalo, make it happen! This is our extra 1st lost in the draft last year potentially! Kane-O'Reilly-_______ Vesey-Eichel-Reinhart Wow, this is just so exciting!
  16. Who let the dogs out.....? In all seriousness, it was a long overdue death for Ramses Bolton. I enjoyed it, and while there may be things to nit-pick about, it was well done and sets up plenty of things for 6-10, and heading into season 7.
  17. Hartnell will come in and is usually good for 55 points. He was stellar for them last year. Easily was their best forward all season not named Jenner. He could easily be sent elsewhere. He's definitely a very "Joel Ward" type of physical presence. Though Ward may be better.
  18. I still think it was a non-starter. Hedman is more crucial to their team success and the team was on the door steps of the Cup Finals without Stamkos. I would call Kucherov much more important to their team dynamic on offense going forward. You throw in needing to re-sign: TyJo, Namestnikov, Killorn, Drouin (in a few) and others and you run into a plethora of problems. They're better off continuing to develop.
  19. I wouldn't scrap McCabe, he played admirably in his first full year of regular minutes. You probably could find someone to take Gorges. If Ben Lovejoy can be traded and a guy like Engelland can make upwards of 3, you can find a taker in a weak market.
  20. I still say we need two at the bare minimum. Gorges' play will improve being moved down in the pairings, but I still question if he's not too slow.
  21. Pretty much my thought process once I read "Hockeybuzz". Moving on to legitimate rumors. The Rangers really must not understand their cap situtation. Unless they will magically transport Girardi, and several others with pixie dust, I don't see a Stamkos marriage. Now that could be fixed moving out Nash (not to Buffalo), and someone else, but I just don't understand that fit when they have too many RFA's to resign.
  22. He definitely took a fall in their system last season. He's an interesting gamble play, but not definitely an upgrade over McCabe, Gorges.
  23. True, but if they're trading for Bogosian.....I'm hoping to angle in that pick. :D
  24. I meant space as in RHD. It frees up a spot to make a move for Shattenkirk or another upgrade at RHD. That's what I was trying to imply. The difference in salary between the two is about 750K-800K, which is about the difference of Justin Bailey.
