  1. It will be fitting that Hanafin will take Mezsaros roster spot.
  2. Fuuuuuucccccc........
  3. Makarov looked good Sat. shutting out Syracuse. They should reward him with a start.
  4. My helmet isn't listed. A couple years ago after hitting my head a couple times in a Bauer and getting a concussion I bought the Cascade M11 Messier Project helmet, supposed to be new design to reduce head trauma. I could tell the difference next time I got slew footed. I bought one for my son.
  5. If you payed for years of lessons (tickets) and she still didn't improve, you'd be doing her and the audience a favor with some tough love. Bang the gong.
  6. After every home loss, the fans should shout, "thank you Sabres, thank you Sabres". Maybe that will sooth the player's hurt feelings.
  7. They should have an old guy with a pen stuck to his cheek come in and tell that story.
  8. Not that he needs help making mistakes, but if he let the crowd affect his game then it's time for him to go play in a quiet house league.
  9. If Weber doesn't like playing in front of Buffalo paying customers, he should go to Murray and request he trade him after the season. I'm sure he would be accommodated.
  10. I'd like both sides to be on at the same time to debate the issue. Peters should have called in during the Simon show if it was so offensive, or call the afternoon show.
  11. I wish someone from the morning show would call to challenge Peters. He's trashing the WGR staff that are for the tank.
  12. Weber shouldn't even be one of their 7 defense men next season. Let him enjoy the loyal fans on Florida or Arizona next season.
  13. If the Sabres get McDavid or Eichel, this will all be worth it and forgotten next year, when half the team will be new players, and possibly a new coach. While I wouldn't have cheered Arizona, I would have gave a quiet fist bump.
  14. I don't enjoy watching players gliding around like an all star game exhibition when a simple check could eliminate many of the scoring chances. It takes more skill to score when you're getting checked throughout the game then it is when you know you can't be hit. When I coached U18 boys hockey we played a couple games against a team from Canada who insisted we play no check. It was boring and the our kids hated it. This isn't the 1950s; women should want to be allowed to play by the same rules as the men.
  15. Yes! Losing properly. Thanks Webby. 1 point is better than nothing.
  16. I'll pay to watch women's hockey when they allow checking. Otherwise it looks like practice.
  17. Maybe they're more relaxed playing for Buffalo knowing everyone expects they are going to lose, while with their new teams they are under pressure to win.
  18. I'm glad Cruz is running. If he does well, it will force the relatively moderate Republican candidates to make more polarizing right wing promises to win the primaries, and will convince moderate voters in the general election to vote Democrat. Could also help the Democrats win the Senate.
  19. Lindback will start vs old team. Hackett was limping after last game.
  20. I think Cruz is doing it to keep his position as top dog among the far right wing to prevent the young pups like Cotton, Rubio, Walker, and Jindel from taking his spot. There's lots of money to be made espousing the views of the far right. That constituency loves to spend their money to hear someone in power validate their views.
  21. We'll let you off easy, you just have to 'open your bridge' to Christie. My experience in NJ is that the south coast like Cape May is a great vacation area.
  22. 1989–90 Quebec Nordiques Won only one out of its last 17 games. 1980-81 Winnipeg Jets Earning the nickname "Lose-ipeg," the Jets set a modern sports record by going 30 games without a win. 1975-1976 Kansas City Scouts From December 30 to February 4, the Scouts failed to win a single game, coming up short 16 straight times. After ending that streak with a victory over the Capitals, the Scouts went winless in their last 27 games, finishing 1-35-8 in their last 44 games. 1992–93 San Jose Sharks The Sharks set the NHL record by losing 71 games that year, including 17 in a row at one point, and they allowed the most goals of any team in the league. Arturs Irbe was the San Jose's "leading goaltender," posting a record of 7-26 and a GAA of 4.11. 1974–75 Washington Capitals The 1974-75 Capitals are the worst team to ever skate on the ice. Their .131 winning percentage is the worst in league history and they finished with half the points as their fellow expansion brothers, the Kansas City Scouts. The Caps managed to lose 39 out of their 40 road games and lost 17 in a row at one point. Goaltender Michel Belhumeur went 0-24 and along with fellow netminder Ron Low, they allowed a combined 446 goals (also an NHL record). The team was so bad that they lost four games by 10 or more goals, and coach Jim Anderson had to resign after being diagnosed with stomach ulcers caused by stress.
  23. If Pysyk has a long term issue, picking Hanafin 3rd might not be the worst thing.
  24. Nolan said he's going to keep playing Lindback until he gets tired.
